Something that they can get consumed by without any guilt attached. Right now I'm working on something that is inspired by a friend of mine. It's old school robots, haha! Knickers Knickers Magee	Jul 24, 2009 10:44 PM Um, facebook confuses and befuddles me, and I find it impossible to navigate. (Which of course in turn makes me feel like an old lady or something.) So yes, I have a facebook account, but I have only been on it twice to do quizzes, haha!
Knickers Knickers Magee	Jul 24, 2009 10:43 PM Oh absolutely you made sense! I think art is so much like music. We all listen and are influenced by different bands or whatever, and our interpretation of the mix of those different sounds becomes our own. Whoever your influences have been, and what parts of that that you have made your own, is really spectacular, and you are going on to influence others, it's great! As far as painting, I think I need to take a class or something. I don't even know where to begin for the most part.  It's funny though, a lot of people tell me they can't draw, like it's this thing that you're just born with. Which, I guess could be true, but I tell all of them that I couldn't draw like I do now when I was 15. I couldn't draw like I do now last year. It's just practice is all. No one ever believes me though, haha! Oh well. They can go ahead and think it's something else, I don't mind :) Thank you for having conversations with me about this stuff, it's really helpful! I really enjoy hearing your perspective :)
Knickers Knickers Magee	Jul 24, 2009 5:09 AM See, if you could tour like a rockstar, you could also get away with dressing in ridiculous clothing that everyone would try to emulate! I love Edward Gorey! I admire his dark perspective, and am drawn to most things like that, but for some reason, every time I try to attempt it myself, it doesn't really click. So I'm opting for quirky/whimsical. Whether I'm successful at that, I'm not too sure, but I'm trying not to think about it too much, haha! Do you usually have an idea as to what you want to draw, or does the drawing just kind of decide for itself? (am I making any sense? I feel like I'm talking crazy here)

I just got a picture done for my children's book (ultimate dream, I'm not sure if that's a little weird or not, but I'm going with it) it's bunnies and trees. (what children's book could be complete without those?) Any shows coming up? It really is too bad that artists don't tour like rock stars, because I would absolutely attend one of your showings!
