"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!"

I found a 1920's style 2 Martin taropatch in it's original hardshell at a local antique shop, a few back cracks and one treble side crack that has been repaired, but no top cracks and the original Hardshell case. I bet George would think it cool;)

Aw thanks for your kind comments and we are very pleased to be able to give them back. Lovely stuff. You don't sound like Pentangle whethere from England or not you sound like Ebin-Rose. A good contemporary sound which we enjoyed a lot.

It was made by Mike Ramsey around 10 years ago, so it's not technically new. It sounds really terrific. It has a wooden tone ring and a square peg head which is nice. I bought it from Joseph Decosimo if you know him? It was his main instrument but he upgraded. ;)

A couple of us were outside talking when you arrived.
I don't recall if that was before or after we played.
Joe Cavanagh (the bass player) & I played a duo for a few songs - about #12.
The Alan Bradley Group went up around #14.
We played all originals and one cover (Puff the Mag. Drag.

I quite enjoyed Times Two. You really do play with some fun styles. So, there's no Jack presence on here is there? I guess he always had something else on his mind... or influencing his mind... or something.

Hi Ebin
All is going well. I am quite busy with my day job - thank God with all of the unemployment and current financial economic crisis.
I am wrapping up the GOD CD with just the 10 or so songs currently written as I am getting itchy to write different things and I am growing tired of the limitations that are placed on such a project. I listened to all the songs and I really like the CD. I just have to find the right order of the songs. The next CD will not be limited but I forsee a upbeat jingly jangly CD.
I hope all is well with you and that you are still writing new stuff. It's all good!!!

You are a wonderful guitarist. Use what God gave you and do not worry about others. You are a unique guitarist shaped by the artists you like. I hear Davy, Dylan, Drake, Fahey and many others in your style but no one can play quite like you. Embrace your gift and let it ring out loudly - I dig it!!!

Hi Ebin
The new songs are great. I love the guitar work on "Circle Green". You have a cool finesse in your playing that I dont hear in many guitarists. I hope one day I cant get there but you my friend are blessed with those skills - be thankful.

Hi My Friend
I am doing quite well. I am getting divorced but I am comming back to the Lord now and my three year depression has gone away. I am working on a CD for God right now and all proceeds will go to the church and or the poor. It's freakin' fridgette here too (Pardon the Philly lingo). Today, I pumped gas into my car and for the four or five minutes I was out there, I thought my hand was going to fall off!!! I hope all is well with you and I am glad you are recording and gigging. Maybe this summer, I can travel up there and catch a gig. Maybe you can show me a lick or two too. Stay warm my friend and have a Wonderful Christmas and a Folk Filled New Year!!!
