Hey, TE, I successfully defended my doctoral dissertation today. A trip to Paris would make a lovely graduation present ;)

Hey, TE. Today's my dad's birthday, and I got his hopes up by sorta
promising to take him with me if I'm the lucky French Open winner.
Would beat the coffee maker I bought him anyway. :)

Interesting to see that Nadal drew Soderling in the Masters round
robin...maybe a little French Open revenge is in the cards? Speaking,
of the French Open... :)
Geoff

Is it odd that one of the biggest reasons I'd want to go to the French
Open is to try to get Mary Carillo's and Cliff Drysdale's autographs?
Maybe that could be a nice consolation prize if I don't win the big
one. :)
Geoff

Can't wait for the Londom Masters! Might even get me to stop thinking about Paris for a few minutes. :)
Geoff
Nov 24, 2009 4:43 PM
The race for Number 1 at the London Masters is almost as exciting for the race for the TE French Open giveaway! Can't wait to see the outcome for both!
Geoff

Nice comeback by Roger today! Looks like he's on his way to securing
the number one ranking for the year -- and hopefully the number one
seed when one of us may see him defend his French Open crown next year.
Geoff
Nov 24, 2009 4:43 PM
Soderling and Djokovic were both victors today...want to add me to that list of winners, TE? :)
Geoff
Nov 16, 2009 4:15 PM
If I get to go to France, I promise I'll apologize to every Parisian I see for that whole "freedom fries" thing. :) Thanks, TE!
Geoff
Nov 16, 2009 4:15 PM
Oh man, another crushing defeat for Rafa in Paris in 2009. Hope he can
get his mojo back to reclaim his Rolland Garros crown next year - and I
sure hope I'm there to see him try!
Geoff
Nov 16, 2009 4:15 PM
I'd love to go to Paris, TE. It might be my only chance to get that
Cedric Pioline autograph I've waited my entire adult life for!
Geoff
Nov 13, 2009 5:18 PM
Currently watching Del Potro battle with Gonzalez -- TE, hope you guys
sell Juan Martin's new Nike gear -- I'm really digging his sleeveless
shirt with the green dot pattern! Oh, and I'd still love to go to
Paris next spring, because I'm Del Poortro. :)
Geoff

I don't think Agassi should give back his titles, but I do think you should give me the title of French Open Giveaway winner! :)
Geoff
Nov 12, 2009 6:50 PM
Gotta love days off! Watching a great match between Nadal and Almagro right now. Makes me wish I were in Paris. :)
Geoff
Nov 10, 2009 6:17 PM
Strange day of matches in Paris -- saw a lot of players I've never even
heard of before! Guess it was good education in case I see the
Frenchmen again next spring. :)

Tennis Express, I wish I knew how to quit you. Just kidding -- you guys are awesome!
Geoff
Nov 9, 2009 4:37 PM
Roger's back and in the semis of the Swiss Indoors! That's as sweet as
the Lindt chocolate he's shelling now. :) And winning a trip to the
French would be as sweet as an eclaire. Thanks, TE!
Geoff
Nov 9, 2009 4:37 PM
Guess I won't be seeing Yanina Wickmayer at the French Open next year. Oh well, that's okay - plenty of other Belgians in the sea! :)
Geoff
Nov 9, 2009 4:37 PM
Woohoo, the Paris Masters begins today! Would be nice to master the French Open giveaway and get to Paris next spring. :)
Geoff
Nov 5, 2009 4:31 PM
I'd love to go to the French next spring, TE, just as long as you don't make me sport Novak Djokovic's nipple tassels!
Geoff
Nov 4, 2009 6:23 PM
Viva Les Quatre Mousquetaires! Make me the fifth Musketeer, TE, please!
Geoff
Nov 3, 2009 3:51 PM
So glad Roger's back! I feel like order is restored. Now if I can just win a trip the French Open...:)
Geoff
Nov 2, 2009 4:41 PM
Hey, TE -- I'd love to go to Paris. I promise I've never used crystal
meth, nor do I hate tennis or use a hairpiece. Just throwing that out
there. Thanks!
Elaine

Tennis anyone??
Geoff
Nov 2, 2009 4:41 PM
Can't believe it's already November. Just a matter of weeks till the
holidays now - and the end of the French Open giveaway. Excitement
abounds!
Geoff
Oct 30, 2009 9:44 PM
Hmm...I think I'm going to need a few-day injury time-out next spring,
TE. Would love to recover on the sidelines in Paris, maybe with Jelena
or Dinara by my side. ;)
Geoff
Oct 29, 2009 10:26 PM
Hey,
TE. I'm finding myself increasingly obsessed with Kader Nouni, the
hippest chair umpire in the history of tennis. I'd love to see him at
his home country's Grand Slam next spring!
Geoff
Oct 29, 2009 7:07 PM
Another shameless plea to escape my humdrum city for a few days next spring. Thanks, TE!
Geoff
Oct 29, 2009 7:07 PM
So nice to come home to see live tennis on tv - Serena and Venus in a
third set no less! And it's even nice to enter for a trip to possibly
see one of them on the red clay of Paris. Thanks, TE!

Yikes, you can tell it's a slow week in tennis when we're already
talking about the Doha draw (exciting as the round robin match-ups may
be). At least it gives us more time to talk tennis and enter the
contest!
Geoff
Oct 26, 2009 3:31 PM
Hey, Tennis Express, if you send me to Paris next spring, I promise I won't embarrass you guys and pull a Gulbis. :)
Geoff
Oct 26, 2009 3:31 PM
Viva Yanina! Wickmayer to take the French in 2010! Or maybe not, but I would love to be there to see her try. :)
Geoff
Oct 26, 2009 3:31 PM
Hey, Tennis Express, if I can't win the French Open trip, I'd settle
for a trip to the Paris Masters -- or even the Cincy Masters. :) Worth
a shot, right?
Geoff
Oct 22, 2009 4:12 PM
"Paris, Je T'aime" -- one of my favorite films, and hopefully one of my
favorite new sayings come next spring. Thanks, Tennis Express!
Geoff
Oct 22, 2009 4:12 PM
It's an unseasonably warm day here in Ohio today, so I was able to
sneak in a game of tennis this afternoon on my lunch break. Is there a
better feeling? Well, maybe going to the French Open, but that goes
without saying!
Geoff
Oct 20, 2009 4:37 PM
I'm suffering tennis withdrawal. It's a long way off till the Paris
Masters 100 -- I guess I'll have to keep myself busy daydreaming about
a certain other tournament in Paris!
Geoff
Oct 19, 2009 7:20 PM
Late getting my entry in today -- had to wait in line for the H1N1
vaccine. At least I'll be healthy for the French Open now, knock wood!
Geoff
Oct 19, 2009 7:20 PM
Yanina is back -- I'll go out on a very flimsy limb and predict
Wickmayer will take the French in 2010! Just kidding - but I'd sure
love to be there to see her try!
Geoff
Oct 19, 2009 7:20 PM
Congrats to Davydenko on a great win in Shanghai! Maybe he's on track
for a better 2010, and, who knows, maybe a French Open win? And maybe
I'll be there to see it!
Geoff
Oct 16, 2009 3:45 PM
I realize now why I keep feeling tempted to buy baguettes and
croissants at the grocery store nowadays -- I've always got the French
Open on my mind! I'll have to play more tennis to work off all the
extra carbs, but it's worth it.
Geoff
Oct 15, 2009 3:15 PM
Good thing the French Open isn't in October - most of the top men
wouldn't be in the draw! Here's hoping for an injury-free Rolland
Garros next year for the winner of the giveaway.

Thanks for posting the Stephen Colbert/James Blake video on FB -- I can't decide which I'd rather watch play more at the French next year!
Geoff
Oct 12, 2009 10:14 PM
I'm sleepy from staying up late to watch the matches from Shanghai, so I'll be succint: Paris; please. :)
Geoff
Oct 12, 2009 4:58 PM
Just
saw your commercial on Tennis Channel again - very cool! I must be the
only person in Columbus, Ohio watching a replay of the China Open semis
instead of the Ohio State football game.
Geoff
Oct 12, 2009 4:58 PM
The closest I've some to Paris is the Au Bon Pain down the street, so it's fun to dream about the possibility of heading there next spring. Thanks, Tennis Express!
Geoff

Happy Friday, Tennis Express! Thanks again for your awesome site (really psyched you're selling Federer's cologne), and of course for the French Open contest.
