grand funk is playing at the BIG Y 70th anniversary balloon fest....you should try to open for them. As a former BIG Y employee, im sure you have presidence. I was thinking the other day about how much sandy HATED YOU! Hahahaa you used to piss her off so badly. And you would spend hours trying to find out where the coconut milk was, and no one seemed to notice you were gone. However you deemed the locating of a single item, a neccesarry task that would take up a whole days work. Ahhhhhhhhh those were the days....the days....the.

hmm, well that certainly clears things up on my end. you obviously know i am all about the destruction of the wall between musicians and audience.
the only thing i must say in response is, yes numerous people, myself included, enjoy music that lacks composition (and by composition i simple mean planned musical parts, and in most cases relative harmonies) but whats important to note is that we are of the minority.
at least in this country, i can only speak for the society i know and somewhat understand
the vast majority of this country requires the familiarity and continuity of pop music (not just bubblegum)especially singles, or else there would be no music for them to enjoy. lowest common denominator? certainly. should they be pitied and marginalized? you bet. but they are still the majority.
im also not condoning it. but it seems that im also connected to that feeling, while i make raw or uncomposed soundscapes, i also have this deep need for pop

i dont neccesarily agree with you that pedal parties are the "future" of music. maybe they are the future of parties and social gatherings, but music no matter what direction you take it, will still require composition to be accepted by the majority of ears in our human race.
its a nice sentiment tho
