LouLou Dowling	Mar 28, 2009 8:04 PM Did you see your review by William Pinfold in Zero Tolerance yet? This two track demo by solo project Cathis Ord is something a bit special. Hard to pigeonhole, the epic songs here have elements of rock, doom and folk; not massively heavy apart from the harsh, raw vocals, the songs are long, catchy and technically excellent, like a lighter-toned Opeth or a mellowed-out Mithras, full of fluid, atmospheric lead guitar over mid-paced rocky riffs. The songs are based around a central concept concerning an imaginary wilderness and its sole inhabitant, but even if such things are not for you, give this a go, it's an idiosyncratic gem. WP5

Amber Streams	Jun 30, 2008 5:53 PM Not a problem! I've been studying (well, trying to) for my last exam this year, after that, summer vacation and hopefully recording and mixing stuff. I'm glad the new mic works out for you. I'll definitely try the parallel compression but I haven't really gotten to the mixing/effects stage yet on my new recording (except the mandatory stuff). My computer doesn't really handle the effects that well with so many tracks, but I'm planning on buying a new desktop in a few weeks, I've already chosen the parts. Well, I don't really know many vocalists, so I decided to take it on myself. I can only do clean singing. I'm not super confident about my vocal skills, but I think my voice is decent and I'm interested in what others will think. Apart from that, I just love to sing. What are your vocal plans? The song on your space is sounding nice! I'm definitely eager to hear more. Keep me updated. Cheers, Arjen
Amber Streams	Jun 17, 2008 7:49 PM Well, it's gonna be a while I think. I don't really have a CD release planned yet, although I'd love to make a serious demo sometime. I'm currently finishing up a 14 minute long track, so I guess that's a step forward, haha. Done a bit of vocal recording today. What's left are some more vocals, leads and the bass track. I'm quite satisfied with the song so far. About 'Waiting', it's the first song I wrote for this project but, to be honest, it's not that good. There are some nice parts in it (including the bit on the MySpace) that I may reuse sometime, but the song itself doesn't cut it. So, how is the recording business going on your part? Are you liking the AT mic you bought? Cheers, Arjen
