Hello Johnny, It was great to be able to hear you and Darren Farrell perform last weekend in Cleveland. What a treat it was to hear you again since the first time I heard you perform at the Irish Village in Chicago back in 1985. You haven't changed at all. Your voice still brings me back to a very happy, simple time in life growing up in a house surrounded by all types of music being played. Your records were always my favorite! I love the new CD, Never Smelt The Roses. The instrumental introduction to the song you wrote for your brother (The Town I Left Behind) is hauntingly beautiful, as are the words in the song. It was a thrill for me to be able to meet you and for my sister Grainne, my friend Kate, and I to get a photo taken with you! Thank you, Johnny. Looking forward to having you come perform in Chicago in the spring. God Bless.

Good afternoon Johnny I do hope you are feeling much better. I just used my demorcratic right and voted in our local and european elections. I will continue to vote NO against the Lisbon Treaty as we would lose our democratic rights. Aonteach Eireann is just over the hill.

Dear Johnny McEvoy,
Every time that we listen & write music... play an instrument... dance... act in a play... or work in some audio/image/video engineering process... something is healing inside...
When we share it with friends... something is healing all over...
Love can drive... in a simple way... everything
We are connected

Estimada/o Johnny McEvoy,
Estamos conectados...

I don't think many people realize the power that music has to shift our emotions and moods. I recently came across some music that as a Reiki Master I will be using during treatments when people have severe anxiety, although I rarely use vocals to help people relax. I had a lot anxiety-filled events in the past few weeks, including friends losing their son-in-law to a terrible accident, and had just received Johnny McEvoy's new album "Never Smelt the Roses." I have quite a collection of different kinds of music, but I chose to use this album to do my meditation and relaxation, and was blown away at how effective it was. When I finished listing to the album, not a trace of anxiety was left, I was more relaxed than I have been in months. I was reminded of the magic that music can bring to our lives, and very thankful that I had decided to purchase this CD when I did, because I certainly needed the magic it provided me.
For those who are unfamiliar with it, Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing, which is used by many and is not bound by any form of religious beliefs, other than we are all interconnected and can use that connection to help others heal.
I personally am "tone deaf" and cannot sing, but I do appreciate listing to music created by others and am grateful that there are so many gifted with the ability to touch another through song and music, and thank them for sharing that gift with the world.
