A Path upon Greatness

The struggle has made it hard for me to grow up sane.
If my heart had a mouth, it would throw up pain.
Despite the obstacles in my path, I'll soar above it all.
I will achieve greatness and I'm sure I'll love it all.
My passion will drive me to explore new heights
In reflection of a lion as I roar through life.
In the hands of defeat, I'm returning in disguise
Only to have sweet victory burning in my eyes.
As a youth, I took on the responsibilities of a grown man.
Rest assured, my destiny lies within my own hands.
We must connect our minds in order to rise.
It's very hard to overlook pain with watery eyes.
