Having absolutley killed it at the previous 2 Videocrash nights Hexstatic was an obvious choice to invite back to Koko, and in looking for an act to match up to them The Nextmen were a clear option, with their live showcase and excellent turntable skills. To make it all that bit more special, and to fit in with the theme of the occasion, Hexstatic will be providing a visual accompaniment to The Nextmen's set! Awesome. Throw into the mix the fruits of our quest into the world of AV to find some of the hottest new talent in the field, and the result is an evening that will blow Koko's bass-bins and your minds with a kaleidescopic mix of sounds and sights. (or thirst first day) 6pm - 8pm at Noble Rot, Tavistock Street, Bedford on the first Thursday of every month, starting with Thursday 1st May (then Thursday 5th June, etc) We'd like to invite you to join us at the first of what we hope may become a regular, informal get together of people in Bedford who earn part of their living in what can loosely be called the creative industries. This invitation is open to artists, musicians, designers, architects, fashion designers, arts educators, arts administrators, actors, theatre impresarios, animators, video makers, web designers, photographers, printers, etc., etc. and business people who need to meet or commission any of the above. There is no agenda, no guest list and no one in charge. You just arrive when you want, buy yourself a drink and try not to spend the whole time talking to the people that you already know. It is a chance to exchange information, make introductions and get out of the office/studio/garret. Please pass this invitation on to other like minded individuals, but so we have a rough idea of whether we'll fit in the venue we'd be grateful if you could email either Bally at Urban Graphics or me to let us know if you think you might attend the first one - thereafter we'll just see who turns up.
