This Saturday August 23 at the Khyber, our good friends BRASS ( formerly North Star Infinite) who also happen to be one of our favorite Philly Local bands, call it a day...

That's right its sad to see BRASS come to an end but they still have one show left and we encourage all Y-Rock Philly Local listeners over age 21 to go to the Khyber this Saturday to see BRASS go out in style.

We thank the band for all the great music they have produced over the years, and for helping introduce Jake Rabid and John V. of The Y-Rock Philly Local to so many other great Philly bands.

BRASS will defiantly be missed but we at The Y-Rock Philly Local hope to hear music from all of the former Brass members in the future.

And although in the past it has been practice of the Philly Local to retire the tracks of the Local Tracks session once they have been posted for download, for BRASS we make an exception....

This week only, celebrate the music of BRASS and download the tracks from the bands May 27, 2008 appearance on the Y-Rock Philly Local's Local Tracks Sessions....

You guys have something special going on. Something that most shitty bands of our day do not have: originality. I'm not sure why the band has to split, but if it's Jamie's decision, reconsider for fuck's sake. The band you are with now can help you change music...I've heard the potential... Go with it. And, never let it slip away.

It's the FIRST cd --- "North Star Infinite - Ghosts that hide inside the walls"

I don't even think YOU GUYS realize how fucking awesome this cd is....

Thanks for the add! Our little radio show is now on 14 stations across the nations. It makes us feel good that you are involved! For this weeks episode we are going to review the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and we are going to count down the top ten Prince movies (not the purple rain prince).
