Truth be told, I got uber-sidetracked and haven't done much work on it short of noodling the few riffs from the song that I've gotten down (the outro solo being one of them).
I haven't gotten a chance to play, write or record much; mostly because I've been on vacation with Amanda. *lovingly emphatic sigh*
I've been quite a bit of rethinking on my live rig, and really wanting to translate that into my recording (amp line out->recording interface->impulses). I've got a couple of really simple riffs and covers I'm planning on recording in the coming weeks.
As for the rest of the stuff, when I get back to NY I'm planning on finishing my pickup winder and I've got a few unwound pickups to experiment with.
The rest of the business stuff has been on hold, as I was planning on the trip and finances have been brutal. When I get back, though, I'm planning on a spending some serious $$$ on tools, etc. to finish some projects I've working on.

I would rather listen to "Pictures of You" than masterbate, although I will probably combine the both to maximum effect...

If I could get a hang drum with frets I'd be impressed. Nah I've the Banjo and Appalachian Dulcimer to keep me busy, also just had a blast on the Cello which is also pretty nice sounding. Again, shame about the lack of frets! How's writing going?

"The Balls Are Inert" will probably be developed into a complete song, and my "Master's Apprentices" cover will be extended to the beginning of the clean vox... maybe all the way until the end *10+ mins. :spock:*. I'm dying to cover "How Could I" but the partwork in that song is stupid hard, so who knows when that'll happen.
Yeah, dropping the slide and seeing how that sounds harmonizes is probably not a bad idea... anything that helps to clean 'er up is desirable. Also... vokills?! :agreed:
You really did a great job with this, and I love your original work so the kind words are well deserved. Keep it up.

Yeah, seriously man... a really really great start, and it won't take much polishing to get it tight. :yesway: BUT... I can also understand wanting to take a week to mull it over. That's where both my songs are right now, actually.
Are you referring to the first two notes of the opening lead phrase, at 0:10-0:11? If so, it might be that your notes sound too sharp when you slide up. On the original recordings, the slide sounds really natural and almost slow, and the only difference on yours is that it's a little more abrupt/harsher, so it sounds almost like a hammer-on and a little sharp. I'd soften up my left AND right hand on those two, and MAYBE check the intonation on that note for the hell of it. Personally? I don't think it sounds "off" enough to make a difference. Love it.

Dude... that is a hell of a start! Christ, I wouldn't have even tried to tackle that in the first place.
The playing, and the harmonies are balls on, dude. Really impressed, and I'm sure it'll be totally tits when it's finished. Cheers.

"ITS OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAND!"
I think the tremelo part at the end really reflects upon the frustration Vegeta suffers with his penis envy for Goku.
Great song man.I was expecting Fred Durst to fucking come in around 2:00 and start white rappin or something...but he didnt so I was happy :D
Dude what program you using to program drums, they're a lot more flexible than mine D: !

hey man, the new song is cool, sounds very prog, i know it goes to the fast part at the end but i kept thinking how kickass the main riff would be at double speed, just a thought, you could put it in somewhere, maybe just for a couple of bars before the blast beat section...
anyways, killer sound youve got now! good job. we're gonna have our demo done pretty soon, we got a new singer too, ill give ya a shout when we get it done.

That's a shame man because you got talent and you could really do something with your music. Keep trying though. There has to be people that wanna work with someone as talented as you.
The bands not good and not bad. We aren't really doing anything right now. My friend is getting his new guitar in a few months and we are still trying to save up to get a drum set. A lot of money issues. We still need a bassist as well. Basically, it may take some time but shit will come together eventually.

How fucking weird is that? I was listening to the track about ten minutes before you posted that comment and was wondering how your recording set up was these days. It's sounding pretty good, could def go somewhere nice with the sound. With a recording setup maybe some collab is on the cards?

yeah, i didn't really intend for it be happy, it just kind of came out that way. most of my other songs are a lot moodier, now that i think about it. i think the fact that its really different is why i'm so hyped on this one. girls that you really care for are good inspiration. :D
btw, the piano sounds in the middle are the stock fl studio piano sounds with some minor tweaking, just in case you wanted an idea of what the fl piano sounds like.
