It's 'a song a day' on my page this week - a free track to download each day until Fri.

First one up today. It's not so woeful (on the surface at least) but one later this week probably will be!

The Mighty Stef [AKA Stefan Murphy] is a singer and songwriter from Dublin Ireland, celebrated for the storytelling nature of his songs and his passionate live shows. He and his band are a veritable band of rock n roll Pirates, sailing a sea of influences that include everything from The Rolling Stones to the Pogues, Nick Cave To the Clash and Johnny Thunders to Johnny Cash.

NLF3
http://www. myspace. com/nlf3
Formed in Paris in 2000, NLF3 create music is cyclical, textured, halfway
between movie scores and psychedelic transgression. The band cites influences
such as Alice Coltrane, Fela Kuti, This Heat, Can and the early Sonic Youth
while mixing a lot of electronics together with a wide variety of instruments :
amplified kalimba, electric guitars and bass, drums, percussions, vocals.

SOE'ZA
http://www. myspace. com/soeza
Soe'za are currently a seven-piece band, hailing from points along the M4
corridor, from Bristol to London. With a somewhat unorthodox line-up of two drum
kits, two electric guitars, bass, French horn, Soe'za mix Can-esque grooves, and
urgent guitars with two disparate yet complimentary singers in the shape of Ben
Owen's clear-voiced declarations and Jenny Robinson's soulful melodies.

BOZZ JATCH
http://www. myspace. com/bozzjatch
Featuring current and ex members of Soeza, The Wailingest Cats and Zun Zun Egui,
Bozz Jatch are an experimental swing trio. Rumbling double bass and intricate
drums give way to complex guitar lines and smooth croons. Yielding a unique pop
sound that marries diverse influences; from Django Reinhart and Charles Mingus
through to the elaborate tapestries of Steve Reich and Tortoise.

hey Oh, The Woe

Glad you came. This is my stupid attempt to leave a trace in your frontal lobe that'll last more than 10 seconds. I don't believe it'll work. Then again, I believe in unbelievable things.

The album. Download it. Let it breathe on your playlist for a while. It will grace your chips, wires, ears. It'll make your aura shine.
Then again, maybe you don't like presents. Which is perfectly fine.

It's right here: KETZ - WALKTHROUGH

Click the 'free user' button and wait a few seconds for a download to start. Tell me if you have problems.

While the songs drip onto your hard disk, rest your eyes on something you might really like:

The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players with An Axe, Bar Oppo, 22nd September 2008

Decorum presents a last minute tour addition, an intimate performance from The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow players - Monday 22nd of September at Oppo (72 Park Street, Bristol).
The Trachtenburgs are a domestic trio who play quirky indie vaudeville pop songs in the key of unironic good, clean fun with one major catch: all the songs carefully rhyming lyrics come from the vintage slide collections they've found at estate or garage sales that accompany their performances.

Hey there, yes it sounds like a nice night for sure. We are playing in Devon tonight and on the Thekla on Sunday night - and I'm already faaaaaacked! But if can make it there tomorrow night I will. If not then have a great one and I'll have to catch another one. Equally if you fancy our UTI night on Thekla Sunday then do come and help us chill out the passing trade ruffians. We'll also be spinning tunes and then live set. Music music - good innit? See you soon x
