Me and local Sydney MC, 'The Igloo' got our J Dilla tribute mixtape dropping in a week or so on 100 limited edition cassettes, so dig out your tape deck if you're a Dilla fan! [NEW…	Jan 16, 2009 6:27 PM ***********THIS IS NOT A NIGHT TO MISS!!******** The Rare One // Aberystwyth Arts Centre // Saturday 7th February 2009 Following a barnstorming return last October, The Rare One is back with another eclectic dose of live music and DJs. On Saturday 7th February we proudly present the amazing live dance outfit DR. MEAKER and Drum & Bass mavericks DRUMSOUND. After triumphant shows at Glastonbury, Bestival and Glade last year, DR. MEAKER and his 7-piece band come to the area for the first time as part of his A Lesson from the Speaker debut album tour. Michael Eavis dubbed them “brilliant", Pete Tong called them “fantastic” whilst Zane Lowe simply called it “beautiful music.” Also performing live on the main stage are local Ska 4-piece 3 MINUTE WARNING, whose European Tour kicks off in fine style at The Rare One. They describe their music as “hard hitting rock beats with heavy organ Ska licks – the lyrics are fun but the band is no joke!” Meanwhile, talented breaks duo THE GROOVEMASTERZ promise a blinder of a set with many of their own tunes. Residents David Soul & Matt Byers will be reinforcing things with their own brand of funky house and breaks.
