It's also a little background - stuff you don't get when you read my page (which I'm sure you did). This is the "good stuff". I joined Myspace late 2005 because someone suggested it as a good place to promote my writing. That's all it was until Feb 11th 2006. On that day my wife unexpectedly passed away and I fell apart. For most of the year I wrote very little, stayed drunk and used this site to remain connected with the world. In December last year I moved out of the house I shared with my wife, cut down (didn't stop) the drinking and began writing again. Early this year on my way to the World Horror Writers Convention (WHC2007) I had dinner with a reader and my life changed again. Ten months later I moved to be near her and I've got a novella coming out in the next couple weeks. Note: If you're really curious feel free to go back and read my old blogs starting around the 11th of Feb 2006. You'll get some insight, but remember I was pretty well zonkered while writing most of them. Anyway, you're here during a happier time. Hopefully you'll find me entertaining. Again, thanks for the add. :) John
