Michael,
It was indeed a treat to not only hear "The Acoustic Alligator" but see you in action performing!!!!Music is my life besides my family as i love all music types out of due respect for anothers work, well almost all lol, It is a true treat to see someone compose new sounds for all to hear, how proud you must be. As I have always said musicians may fade away, but never die ,as the music lives forever, and if thru music one life can be changed, one young person finds the passion for music then it was all worth while.Thank-you again your friend..Bryan Scott

December82 is a trip into contemporary concept of composition that Michael manages perfectly with his knowledge.
He uses arithmetic forms (serial, parallels, oppositions, mirrors, etc) and follows on the way of Stockhausen, Ligeti,Messiaen,Xenakis.;)
He limits technical features to only 3 different synth parts , a polyphonic triad, keeping priority to writing, quality of what stays on the sheet.
Sounds give sometimes a flavour of Tangerine Dreams, Klaus Schulse or Terry Riley, precursors of techno music.
Cheers

Michael, I am so glad you have some recordings done. Soo good to hear from you, will listen to them later. Right now am working on getting flash developers to create some things for the magazine. I want to have a feature on you and your music in the magazine. I love that it is fresh. Have you had the opportunity to check it out?

www. livinglifeboomerstyle. com

Just the tip of the iceberg, still lots more content to go in, and to be created. Plus, lots of interactive stuff to go into the site, as well.

I am going to have a jukebox built, one that holds 200 songs to choose from for the music department, working on the finer details like that.

How are you?

Blessings,
Dawn

Michel my wonderful friend you are a genius and the Alligator Ensemble..s performance is excellent I know their work is not easy.
But you know stillI am fascinated by the multidimensional properties of your compositions they transport me and many I..m sure in another dimention where no sense is spared. Your latest material confirms what I..ve supected for a while now. I will be goimg to NY in the near future and I look forward to meeting you and hopefully discussing the project I first approached you with.
In short I love where your talent and your musicians..s is bringing you.
I wish you many years of experimentation and I wish myself just as many of delight in listening to your creations my friend.

hi Michael

I stopped by for a listen this morning, and the intricate offerings of your keyboard ensemble proved an enjoyable detour from my current craziness this month, as I frantically finish up another French CD and prepare my students for their annual recital on May 31st. thanks for the heads up, and keep it coming. :)

Dear Michael
Thank you for the advance notice of the posting of "December 1982" and "July 1984."
Each song twists inexorably into delightful frenzies of creative sound that is an absolute joy to hear. You are a musician who is on my watch list as you continue to explore and refine the sounds of "The Acoustic Alligator" via "The Electric Alligator Ensemble." I don't know who would not be moved by your virtuoso offerings. I do know that whatever venue your group plays at will be that much more the richer for the experience.
always, Thomas

Dec 1982: I close my eyes and visualized an ER with pretty nurses running around and heart monitors going crazy and the red strobed lights from the ambulances was flashing all through the glass doors and windows, making shadows of strange beings on the walls, while all the people in the waiting area got up and danced in synch with the gator. Now how wild is that??? If we ever do that video, I wanna play one of the nurses okay? Hee Hee
July 1994: I close my eyes and we were all walking a tightrope, but it was the electrical telephone wires and we all had umbrellas as we balanced along. Birds were flying away and around us as we took their spots and then heavy raindrops fell all around us while people were below running around pointing up at us. We never looked down. We moved with grace and managed to make it safely to the rooftop of this tall building where you guys then stood to the side and did a bow while everyone clapped. Ha Ha we all laughed because we couldn't believe the crowd we had gathered with our acrobatic skills. It was all magical and then at the very end, a bird flew over and pooped on us. HA HA I guess they didn't like us on their wire.

WOW, it is a whole new experience to hear your "group" play something so familiar (from my frequent visits to your page over the past year of our friendship)this has a heavier, more organic sound, and it helps to know it is being played by such brilliant LIVE Musicians.
miss you and hope all is well with you my friend...and hope to see you soon
