Meg Hosts SHAMROCK OPEN…	Feb 24, 2009 10:37 PM Dan, On Monday, Feb. 23rd, our dear friend Bob Nugent passed away, surrounded by family and loved ones at Stella Maris in Timonium, MD. Bob had fought a brain tumor since October 2008, when he was diagnosed. He was a regular at Huckleberry's and Shamrock Open Mics and encouraged all the musicians he knew. I have a full story posted on my blog and in the bulletins. Visit them for more info. Just wanted to let ya know that Bob's Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. at Stella Maris in the Chapel on the first floor of building Bob was in. I posted directions on my blog if people need more info. Stella Maris #: 410-252-4500, for directions select extension(5-7589) or press "0" for the operator. Also, Uncle Moldy's House of Socks posted a picture memorial of Bob on their site. Definitely some mellow and enchanting tunes on there--very much like the music of Nick Drake, only a bit more minstrel-like (so I can understand your fascination with it). By the way, are you familiar with Nick Drake? Most people I know don't know anything beyond the Volkswagen commercial (which he likely would've never endorsed himself, but what can you do when you're dead?). Anyway, thanks for turnin' me on to yet another artist I likely would've never heard otherwise. See ya', Uncle John
