A review of "Intrafusion" on the Soul Unsigned website.

I was initially surprised by the opening guitar riff of this track from Canadian band Moses Mayes, which sounded more grunge than funk! But as soon as the horn section came in, I was hooked. The track liberally mixes elements of funk with mainstream rock stylings, so you could be forgiven for thinking this was some kind of collaboration between Freakpower and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers! Once the track hits the vibe solos, however, the comparisons run closer to Herbie Hancock. The track is different, always entertaining, and certainly funky! (Paul Gordon)
