"We are writing the history of 2007. For over a decade, as TOMCRAFT, 'Thomas Brückner' has been an important part of today’s electronic music scene and one of its most highly regarded ambassadors in foreign countries near and far. If you wanted to sum up TOMCRAFT’s life in recent years in a couple of lines, they would look something like this: three albums, two of his own labels, dozens of successful singles, a No. 1 hit in the UK, countless remixes for acts such as Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Simple Minds, Sonique and many more.
His recognised hit “Loneliness” that was released in 2002 may have been responsible in part for this when it shot straight to pole position in the British sales charts. With recognised status in the bag and his constant search for higher levels in his mind, in October 2003 TOMCRAFT set up his first independent label, Great Stuff Recordings, followed by Craft Music in 2005, on which national and international acts such as GusGus, The Egg, Rockers Hi-Fi, Lützenkirchen and Oliver Koletzki released records and the imprint with its high-quality tunes which went on to become one of the most popular in the world in the shortest possible time. The range is as varied and open-minded here as with TOMCRAFT himself, and in this way the one-time trancer has long since become a musical polyglot with ambitions from Techno to Electro."

“Well where do we start? its been a hectic year for us Protek boys. We started out January 2007 with the simple innovation to bring Perth something that it had been missing for a good few years… A cool clean cutting edge night showcasing new talent in the Fair City, and what a time we have had doing so, every party we throw just gets better and better, from Cesco & Picrudo of Monumental Records, Manchester. Mix-Mag Future Hero Chris Rayner Of London. Harri’ of Subculture Glasgow & Colours very own Jon Mancini. Not to mention our series of summer resident parties showcasing some of the coolest young talent the North East has on offer. Now its time to move things up a peg and we are delighted to announce our home for future parties in Perth shall be the Legendary Ice Factory, the rapport’ of the club speaks for itself. And Protek residents Bryn Williams (Dubbed The Daily Records one to watch in 2007) & Paul Montague (Shlinkor 2000) are relishing the chance to show the Ice factory crowd what Protek is all about. We’ll cya on 14th… ps attend this night for exclusive info on our October event. much love - Protek xxx
