The Golden Bear gig was recorded by someone in the audience, a bootleg if you will, so the quality is not 3/4", which was the state of the art for the time. This might have been the gig where we had Rick Overton open for us. We were partying with him before and after the gig. Nice person, and he is a local boy from New Jersey, Glen Rock I think. The Golden Bear gigs were always exciting, as the sound was great in that place, and the engineer was very cool. Lily was doing the lights and strobe, but we had a kaleidoscope guy doing the patterns.

You'll notice Aldous Huxley commenting on his "Doors of Perception". This is where The Doors got their name. Huxley died the same day Kennedy was killed, taking a dose of LSD given by his wife. He also wrote Brave New World, and was influenced by and influenced George Orwell of "1984" fame.

Yo! Randy!
Ha!! What did we expect from those goat ropers? I wish we had that on Video. It looked like a WWF wrestling match. Remember the time we literally brought the roof down in Kansas City? We were using the Prog band FM's sound system, and the Bass and Drums were so loud the roof started falling apart. But we kept on playing!!

Well hello my old geezer friends. As I recall Mr. New Mexico had his arm around my throat choking me out for spilling a beer on the stage. SHEESH!

Ha! Remember the fight in Albuquerque with the club owner, who was Mr. New Mexico, his bouncers, the band, and Strange Daze roadies? The cops showed up, but Forrest and I made it to the Winnebago before it got out of hand.
