SEEKING LESBIAN AND BISEXUAL WOMEN OF COLOR IN WASHINGTON STATE

Are you…

A lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, or two-spirit woman?

African American/Black, Native American/American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian/Asian American, Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian,
Middle Eastern, Latina/Latino/Hispanic, Biracial or Multiracial?

Age 18 or older?

Living in WA State?

If this sounds like you, then we invite you to participate in a study focusing on your life experiences, health and wellness.
Participants will earn $50 for completing a phone interview and a survey and will have the opportunity to earn up to $40 more for referring others to the study.
The goals of the Rainbow Women’s Health Survey are to understand and promote health and well-being among lesbian and bisexual women in Washington State. Previous research has indicated that lesbian and bisexual women are at somewhat elevated risk for health and mental health problems compared to their heterosexual women peers. Our study aims to understand why these disparities exist so that we can begin to address them in our community.
We are especially interested in hearing the diverse voices within our communities.
This confidential study is run through the School of Social Work at the University of Washington. For more information, contact the Rainbow Women’s Health Survey office at rainbow2@u.washington.edu or (206) 685-7986 in Seattle or (866) 577-8248 outside Seattle. Please remember that we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of any information sent by email.

The Rainbow Women’s Health Survey is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health.
