I will debate you on the issues and not the shit that does not matter. OK.
Taxes:
With That Said...my taxes were lower, as marginal as you want to try and portray. What Democrats always do is spin the issue by trying to make the Republicans look bad for reducing taxes (reducing federal power). They do this by stating the fact, that they cut taxes for the most rich people in the nation. This not only feeds a mentality of irresponsibility and a mentality of "Big Brother Will Take Care of Us", but it also spins the fact that Democrats want, have, and will increase taxes on Americans that WILL hurt the common middle class worker just trying to get by. For instance, the Democrats raise taxes on Business (which is part of Obama's plan). This hurts job growth, standard of living (based on wages), and in effect, THE PEOPLE! YOU CAN NOT DISPUTE THAT! It directly increase the size, control, and Power of Government! Secondly, to make anyone believe that new big government programs will be funded by taxing the wealthiest 5% is complete Bullshit. The MAJORITY (vast majority) of all the money that goes to the government are, in-fact, from the middle-middle class. The only way you can fund BIG GOVERNMENT is by taxing the middle-middle class and taxing business. Bottom Line. Please keep that in mind.

Energy:
Fact: George Bush has invested in Alternative Fuels more that any other president before him. McCain vows (and has a history of) continuing this path and increasing the amount of investment. To say he will not is simply a fabricated lie. However, to actually believe that we can be completely off of Oil as an energy resource in 10 years is incredibly naive. That is comparable to taking the position of the far right; that all of the millions of illegal immigrants can be deported back to Mexico. Again, it simply can not happen. However, to also believe that an increase of drilling in untapped American oil reservoirs will not take any effect on oil prices for 10 years is also INCREDIBLY naive. Just it simply being announced to the public that it was starting to be implemented would have an IMMEDIATE impact on the market! If you don't understand way, then you don't understand the economy. Unfortunately, Obama is (once again) against an increase of Drilling in America. Funny. There is no one solution, there is only a combination. That is what McCain stands for. Bottom Line. Please keep that in mind.

Last night driving back from the Tigers game I successfully listened to "Ecohes". Havent done that in years!!! It was awesome.
Anyways, just to put a big damper in how you think I'm wrong about everything, I thought it was important for you to know that if you dig into my political philosophy very deeply you'd find out that I'm actually a Socialist! But I stand by everything I said. Wrap your mind around that one.
It sucks we never got to see them live. It's the one concert I would have willingly paid over a $100 for without any feeling what so ever that I was paying too much. I would have paid $300. Seriously.
P.S. What the Republicans and Democrats are conspiring together to do right now is flat out Robbery! And on top of it the Government is getting bigger (monetarily that is).

Government:
Lets talk about government for a second. What most people don't realize is that the MORE money government gets and the MORE it spends, the LESS effective and helpful it really is. This is because BUREAUCRACY does NOT function like a real business. In a real business (non-unionized of course) if there is a non "value-add" to the company it is eliminated; an employee, a program, a system, a marketing campaign...ANYTHING! IT IS ELIMINATED! FIRED!!! A well managed and successful business does this. A failing business does not, and declares BANKRUPTCY. NEWS FLASH! The United States Government does not and can not declare bankruptcy for obvious reasons. The natural progression of any business that is not regulated and managed is to grow with corruption and non "value add" employees, programs, systems, and marketing. Guess what, by voting for Obama, by voting for an increase in taxes on the wealthy and every American 'evil' business out there, you are in effect voting for more government corruption. Sorry I had to bring this to your attention. Convince me right now that McCain will increase taxes and I will vote for Obama. Not gonna happen. The federal government has spun into a horribly mismanaged business because it is a BUREAUCRACY that only answers to some god forsaken number; 30% of the people that actually vote. Not the registered voters...the amount of registered voters that actually vote. If you have less money to work with, then you tend to spend it more wisely, effectively, and efficiently. Bottom Line. Please keep that in mind.

Foreign Policy:
Ask yourself in all seriousness... Have your civil rights been personally violated? Does anyone you know of been put in jail because of something they said or did? DO YOU KNOW ANYBODY THAT KNOWS ANYBODY THAT HAS BEEN SWEPT UP BY THE GOVERNMENT AND PERSONAL RIGHTS HAVE BEEN VIOLATED? If not, maybe...just maybe, its because YOU AND EVERYONE YOU ASSOCIATE YOURSELF WITH ARE NOT TERRORISTS!!!! WOW! what a revelation. You want to know why you don't? Maybe, just maybe, it's because if you did then who ever was responsible would not be reelected. The Military has kept us SAFE from Terrorists and as far as I am concerned my civil liberties are just fine. We all have more civil rights then there was during the first and second world wars. Maybe, just maybe, we finally got it right. And please don't make Russia a Republican Created Issue. Believe Me, any strong stance we take up with Russia, all of the Western and Most of the Eastern parts of Europe agree with. Like they didn't just invade Georgia (a NATO friendly state and supporter of the reconstruction of Iraq) and get away with it...NO! Not gonna happen. This is the real world, not the idealist one. Not everyone overseas is gonna agree with democracy and they will fight against it. We can not allow them to win. Franklin was never president. THERE IS NO LIBERTY WITHOUT JUSTICE! THERE IS NO JUSTICE WITHOUT SECURITY! THERE ARE NO CIVIL RIGHTS ENFORCED WITHOUT LIBERTY, JUSTICE, AND SECURITY! ...fundamental, and true to the records in time.
P.S. please don't take anything i said personally, I appreciate the fact that you care so much about our country and know that you are a very smart person who puts much thought into these important issues. This was just an uncensored, unedited rant from my heart and goes further than just a rebuttal to your statement. I personally do not think you are naive.

You know, it's just too bad that I like my taxes low, free trade, globalization, technological manufacturing progression, less centralized economic federal power, more localized power, indirect control over business by government, more American oil drilling and refineries, a stronger military, and individual fiscal freedom...or else I might just vote for Obama. He's a great speaker. He's also very popular over at the U.N., I hear.

Oh..and one more thing.
"Congress' job approval rating has dropped five percentage points over the past month, from 19% in June [2008] to 14% in July [2008], making the current reading the lowest congressional job approval rating in the 34-year Gallup Poll history of asking the question. The previous low was 18%, last reached in May." -

Thank you for losing the game yesterday in Just 1 inning..."mister best change up in baseball". If I hear about "oh, but he has the best change up in baseball right now" from anybobdy I'm going to be very pissed.

JON...you are the MAN. Jon for mayor of Detroit! How old do you have to be to run? I love the fact that me and you are a very few of the smart ones left! I agree with you 100% on the mass transit. I actually think no cars should be allowed downtown. I think there should be parking structures on the outskirts of Detroit and then we take mass transit or "walk" (I know, imagine that...people walking!!) into the city. And then get some good shopping down there...maybe a "navy pier" type thing! Detroit and Chicago share the same waterfront (basically), why can't we do the same! Sorry for such a long comment!!! By the way, three things: 1) if you ever need an editor, here I am. 2) you are forgetting the best Detroit team in your "general" section (hint: they have a dead goalie on their team). 3) we need to get together this summer!
