Partly because I love the film music of Jazz composer/film composer Dave ("The Goonies") Grusin, partly because this is one of my all-time favorite musical compositions of his, and partly because I just love this old TV series from my childhood, here's Dave Grusin's theme from the television series "It Takes A Thief" starring Robert Wagner.

Mike Nelson has been supportive, and Bill Corbett jokingly posted a big picture of an ice-berg on the RiffTrax website. Mary Jo Pehl has worked with both groups and I don't think there's any acrimony between them at all but who knows, in 18 years from now there may be a new interview where Joel calls Mike an asswipe.

YO, DUDE, i got some grim news.... Theyre deploying me to kuwait on nov. 25th and 3 months after that i go to iraq for 15 months..Pretty SHITTY. Im trying to see what kinda commo i can get while im over there so i dont lose touch w/ people back home, but MAN what a kick in th balls this is. Out of INITIAL training for a month, havent even SEEN the regular army OR my job here, and im already leaving. HOW SMART they are to bring sum1 with the LEAST experience to a war zone, i mean, it's not like it's a GOOD idea to let somebody become well-versed and comfortable with their job FIRST before having to perform in a fucking WAR zone. This is basically the deciding factor in my feelings toward the military======> FUCK THOSE PEOPLE. I dont think I even have as much contempt for iraqis as I do for the people I have to deal with. Oh yeah, democracy my hollow left nut, the army is one of the most dictatorial organizations which I have ever had the displeasure of being routinely fucked in the ass by. Anyway, try to keep in touch, mahfuckee, ill see if i can keep some form of internet access throughout my deployment so i can entertain you with very uneventful war stories, seeing as how this isnt much of a war as it is a show of how attrition completely cluster-fucks a superior military force while draining the economic stability of a world "superpower" all because a bunch of old fat white men won't pump a few million in to surpassing something as shitty as a gas-powered engine, those fuckholes are the ones who deserve to pull 8-14 hour shifts at the checkpoints which i will be busting human skulls in... hehe...at least ill forever rid myself of this lust for violence in the back of my head (not in video games though) Ill always be a whore to the PC games. aight man im out, ill try to get hold of u b4 i leave, later man.

I was thinking about looking for a place with gregg, but instead I think I'm going to stay here and tracy and I will live as room-mates (we'll make the dining room into a bedroom). Tracy said since I'll be living in a dining room (with a make-shift wall, but a dining room none-the-less) I can pay less rent. This seems to be a win-win situation. Tracy is waaaaaaaaaay too nice.
