Mt. Pleasant Speedway super late model driver #18 Alvie Haynes is holding a food drive and inviting everyone to come out and support two great organizations, while also coming out and visiting with a local driver, getting your picture taken, sit in the car, etc..

What: "Cans from Race Fans" food drive benefiting Central Michigan Chapter of American Red Cross Food Pantry and Isabella Community Soup Kitchen. Come out and fill the racecar trailer of Mt. Pleasant Super Late Model driver Alvie "Hot Rod" Haynes with non-perishable food items to support the two local organizations.



When: Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.



Where: Ric's Food Center, 705 S. Mission St. in Mt.

Pleasant

Prizes: Haynes will have free T-shirts to the first 5 with donations. A 2 p.m. drawing will be held for those making donations to win Haynes' autographed roof from last year's car, and a drawing to win an autographed Dale Earnhardt Jr. Michigan International Speedway program from his June 2008 MIS victory, plus hourly drawings for free tickets to the Mt. Pleasant Speedway and various other free giveaways including Mt. Pleasant Speedway t-shirts.



Come out and support worthwhile local organizations and racecar driver ! Pass the word on, let's make this a great event for everyone !!

nope....I'm boring. I went to the casino collected my $20 b-day credit and played the slots for a bit. My friend Nicole hosted a cookout/bon-fire for me on Saturday the 6th. Old age.....its kicking my butt.

I've haven't been around on the weekends much. I pretty much live on the water during the summer time. I take off ever chance I get. Mount Pleasant gets really boring if you stick around for more than one weekend. Other than that, just working, working out, and busting out my MBA.

But I must report with great sadness that the ice cream met an untimely death in a public parking lot. Had it not been a public parking lot I would of gotten on my hands and knees and started lapping it up as Cold Stone is to yummy to waste, but alas I did not want people think I was a nut case.
