Thanks for Massaging my ears with such gems !
Currently listening to '1967 1/2' ,a truly amazing collection of song based tracks...
To me ''1967 1/2'' encapsulates everything I think of ,when thinking about the 1960's.
AFGHAN COATS,ROSE TINTED spectacles ,THE KINKS,PINK FLOYD . .
This release captures a feel and forward thinking attitude of the late sixties.A naivity and psychedelicness as well as a ENGLISH FOLKINESS that really couldnt be mistaken to be anything else but ENGLISH.Taking a vibe that originated in the SAN FRANCISCO ,ASHBURY HAIGHT area of the U.S. the sound and feeling is as ENGLISH as a POT of TEA,and a plate of PSYCHEDELIC SCONES....
JANGLY GUITARS and OUT THERE [man !!] Lyrical content, one could mistake this for a lost FLOYD recording with its BARRETESQUE vcals and a production that could have been achieved in a basement of a studio in 1960's CARNABY STREET..... The SPIRIT and the sights, sounds and smells are absorbed into this recording.
The SUMMER OF LOVE,those are the days ,that I am thinking of.... !!
very well done STEVE !!

From out of the Acid drenched atmosphere the low end murmerings of a strange trance like music was just about audible . . . on closer inspection of the immediate area I located a small leathery skinned creature ,listening to a boulder shaped
transmitter. It
was from this that I could definately hear ,what seemed like MOOCH''In Search Of The Acid Metal Grille'',playing at low volume, just recognisable above the hissing of the gas vents, covering this strange planets surface . . . .. The small alien creature, looked up at me,still for a second. Then it gestured his hand in the universal Thumbs Up''OK,sign used by divers, then smiled and almost instantly went back to its position of listening avidly to the musical composition, oozing in colours from the players small speaker like oriface . . . .
See even in out of space they think your musics cool...
Love it STEVE, bIg lOvE DJ WEIRDITUDE x
