Timothy	Aug 19, 2009 8:22 AM I bet some jazz legends know the TRUTH that Les Paul indeed destroyed the publics genuine interest in bass and drum chops in the late 40's and early 50's with inventing reverb then came distortion. Back then the bass and drums were out front and people came to clubs to see the chops. That is completely factual... The hard truth is that 60 years later us drummers and bassists have been pushed back further and further from the front to the back. Pretty soon this incredibly SUPERFICIAL society will scrape the last of the truely skilled drummers and bassists right off the back of the stage with the help of LAZY technology... I say good riddins Les, and I hope we never see another front man icon like him ever again... Guitar solos are a thing of the past, and in fact the guitar solo itself is very regressive to our musical culture. This hard working drummer wont miss Les at all... Thank you
