All part of the service, old bean. Bearing up, making-do and mending, successfully avoiding jogging bottoms.

Ah The Land of Green Ginger...it's ages since I've been down there and looked at the smallest window in England!
As for the Land of Green Ginger pub in the Bus Station...well that's been flattened now along with the cinema and a lot of other buildings around there to make way for the new Bus Station and a Soopa Doopa Shopping Centre and a massive Holiday Inn!

Hugs!

Hello Harry and good to hear you are a Bug Free Zone.
I am ok but perhaps feeling a little bit like you.
Change makes you feel lost some times.
It's six years since my Mum died and I still find this time difficult.
Before, I'd go round to my parents home where I grew up a number of times during Christmas.
Sit under the tree that was in the same place, look at the glass baubles many of which were older than me and feel like a child again.
That magical warm glow spreading from the inside outwards that made you feel like all dreams were possible.
I've lost that glow now and I don't know where to find it.
AND I've still never been kissed under the mistletoe...Bah!
Hugs to you all...Angela

What a coincidence! I was just thinking of you as I was looking through my 1940's knitting patterns and wondering what to try making next!
I havn't been reenacting for about four years now. I felt I was being pulled in too many directions, there was so much I wanted to do and living in the Dark ages was taking over somewhat.
I do miss it sometimes, especially seen as sometimes these day I feel I am heading in no direction at all! :-)
The wartime event a Pickering should be coming up soon, perhaps I shall go, and if all else fails there is always curry!
Hope you managed to get that cuppa without giving yourself an injury!

Better luck next time dear chap and I hope you all enjoy your weekend at the Royal Gunpowder Mills, it looks a jolly exciting place!
I am out in Cottingham tonight indulging in a spot of Chinese food and some live music!

Hello Harry!
Glad to be back in touch too!
I think it was my enthusiasm for Sausage that caused me to attract the unsavoury types, as long as I don't mention the "S" word I think I should be fine on Myspace now!
Hehehe!
Hope all is well there!

Sweet Hollywaiians

Aug 15, 2009 12:47 AM

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)

Promotional Video(My Girl From The South Sea Isles)

"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff

Hi, I answered you on twitter but seem to be having a bit of trouble. My messages are not being sent out to friends. The only messages being sent out are when I do not message anyone. Its a shame not sure when twitter will fix the problem will still continue to message you via twitter. I hate having to ask you to do this, I know you are a very busy man & don't really have the time, a favor could you look at my twitter page once in a while to see if I may have replied to you & will you please let me know when you can see my replies on your page. I will never know you've viewed my page. Thank you Harry, have a great sunday. Miss Nathalie

Yes plane unexpectedly did a victory role too close for my liking!
Thanks for the itinerary. There are a couple we'd like to go to. I'm definite for September's Gunpowder Mills. The other we're looking at is Ikeworth House.
After 3 years of trying, we finally brought in a professional to rescue our lawn -will now be ready for our annual Colonial Garden Party!
Wishing you all well at the merry household in Stony Stratford.
