NEED YOUR VOTE! - http://www.tie50.net/polling/

A quick update and call for Help on CrossLoop as we march ahead - we are a finalist for the 2009 annual TiE50 competition that recognizes great startups worldwide! TiE is a large and very well known entrepreneurial group based out of Silicon Valley with presence worldwide.

To win and be the top 50, we need to be the top 10 in our vertical - 'Consumer Web'. The top 10 are decided through a public poll and judges. This will be a significant boost for our small company along with some excellent press coverage.

So - we need your help.

Hey J.B.- Thanks for the question. We are well aware of this issue. Many Social Networks block widget links for security reasons. We are working on it currently - trying to come up with the best solution which would follow Myspace rules. The best you can do before this issue is fixed is put a link under your widget to your profile url.
You can do so by adding the following to your HTML page:
< a href= "url_of_link">Text that will be displayed on your page
< / a >

I wish you would just block out the month and day of which the service was started and just go with the year. In some cases, like in the comments page, the 2007 is cut off...

Hey Todd - I assume you are talking about the name that displays on the client when logged in is the users account screen name. The default when not logged in is "Username" on "computername" which we get from Windows settings. When not logged in to an account all you have to do is type a new name in the field and Crossloop will remember it, in the registry, and should open with that new name there until you change it again. Hope this helps.

I figured out how to change the default display name through the registry.
Could you add that in the settings so that we can easily change how our name is displayed on the machines we connect to?

I have plenty of reason to be excited... I have to drive up to 4 hours to provide technical support for some clients (or spend 4 hours walking them through the steps!). I use Remote Desktop Connection with the major ones. However, I can't provide training or go to a specific computer on their network. This does it all. It even allows me access to clients on some of the most secure networks in the state. One site set up access but their's was so slow and limited that I gave up using it.

I primarily work with social service agencies. However, I'm looking at expanding what I do. CrossLoop provides an easy way to do customized installs and support of my databases. The only thing missing is the ability to print to my computer. I generate a pdf file and transfer it to myself when needed as a work-around.

Most remote access connections are rather complicated to set up. My clients' (technically innocent) eyes glaze over.
Your simple click and run install is great!

Again, thanks.
