He basically created stereo and multi-tracking, and the electric guitar. Plus he could play. I think you would actually get a kick from his music from the 50's. Do yourself a favor and watch him and Mary Ford play on youtube: Les Paul & Mary Ford: Alabamy Bound /Darktown Strutters Ball Its great music and a fantastic, sexist comercial in the middle of the songs because its straight from Les Paul's tv show from 1953. Just shows how different the world is today than it was for our mothers.
