Hallo,

ich denke Pixies sind ziemlich unbekannt in Deutschland und werden nie eine gute PR erhalten. Es waren aber auch keine eigenständige Pixies Konzerte, sondern sie haben zwei Auftritte bei Hurricane und Seaside Festival gespielt. Diese Londoner Secret Show war aber wohl auch nichts großes, die Setlist war ziemlich kurz...

Auf der Veranstalter-Homepage gibt's die Tickets etwas billiger: http://www.fkpscorpio.com/tickets_bestellung.asp?nummer=194201. Aber ich stimme dir zu, fast 50 € für Pixies ist echt teuer. Ich habe 85€ für ein Festival-Ticket mit Bands wie Metallica, Die Toten Hosen, Prodigy, Anthrax usw. gezahlt.

Ich möchte sehr gern auf diesen Konzert gehen, wie du bereits geschrieben hast, die nächste Möglichkeit die Pixies live zu erleben wird sich vielleicht erst wieder in 5 Jähren ergeben oder vielleicht auch gar nicht. Ich bin aber bis jetzt noch etwas unsicher aufgrund der Plannung, denn ich weiß nicht wie bei mir der Alltag ab Oktober sein wird. Ich muss wohl aber trotzdem bald eine Entscheidung treffen.

Und hier ist noch ein Tipp für dich, Dinosaur Jr. machen wieder eine Deutschland tour, ebenfalls im Oktober, und die Tickets sind wirklich billig.

Seit einigen Wochen sind die Ergebnisse der Prüfungen bekannt, sie könnten durchaus besser sein, aber nun kann man nichts mehr ändern. Insgesamt habe ich jetzt einen Schnitt von 2,8 (Schulnote).

Hast du bereits die Ergebnisse deiner Prüfungen vorliegen? Bist du mit ihnen zufrieden?

Ich weiß nicht, ob du davon wusstest, aber vor ein paar Wochen haben Pixies zwei Auftritte in Deutschland gespielt, wovon man leider gar nichts mitbekommen hat... Aber sie kommen wieder und zwar im Oktober mit ihrer 'Doolittle Tour 2009' zurück. Sie geben ein einziges Konzert in Deutschland und die Tickets sind schon im Verkauf. Man sollte diese Gelegenheit nicht entgehen lassen.

Die schriftliche Prüfung habe ich bereits vor 2 Monaten hinter mich gebracht und seit dem war die Schulzeit wirklich sinnlos...

Die DVD kannst du natürlich auch auf Rapidshare hochladen, ist für mich gar kein Problem, und musst dann auch keine Zeit und Geld verschwenden um die DVD zu brennen und zu verschicken.

Ich wünsche dir ebenfalls schöne Pfingsten und viel Spaß im Phantasialand.

Hallo,

ich habe auch nur noch die mündliche Prüfung vor mir, die kommt aber erst am 22. Juni. Die Ergebnisse habe ich noch nicht bekommen, muss mich noch ein paar Wochen, bis 15. Juni, gedulden, wobei ich sie auch nicht wirklich erfahren möchte.

Ich kann mich bei den Prüfungen nie einschätzen, aber wenigstens habe ich das Gefühl, daaa die Prüfungen nicht ganz so schlimm verlaufen sind, bis auf Mathematik... Naja, bald werde ich das erfahren.

Ich lehne es nie ab, ein neues Video zu besitzen. Hast du es mit deiner Digicam aufgenommen, Audio und Video, oder hattest du einen Mobile Recorder bei sich?

Die neuen Songs klingen sehr schön. NIN cover hat auch eine interessante Kombination von unterschiedlichen Musikinstrumenten :-). 'I Love You' erinnert mich an Smashing Pumpkins, aber ich weiß nicht warum.

Well, it's faaaaar from professional! It's just the dinky little microphone that came with my computer XD A tiny piece of plastic. I don't know any specifics on it, just that it's a computer microphone, and if it sounds professional then it's pure luck XD

No, I don't have holidays yet. 1 more month is left untill my holidays. It's actually getting in the last phase now, which seems to be the hardest of the entire year. I have to write few tests in the few following days. And next week, on Tuesday, I will have to do a presentation, which will count as my final grade. I wrote more than 20 pages for my topic already and will have to pick something from it for my presentation, which I still haven't started working on. And else I will probably has to do another presentation in a week or so, for which I also haven't done anything yet.

How is it going for you? How is your new flat? Well, I guess it's alright, otherwise you wouldn't had picked it. I hope we could talk soon, but in last time I'm pretty busy and don't spend much time online. Hold on, mate. 2 weeks is not that long.

you mentioned compression in only nothing, i used a bit on the guitar cause the amp sound was starting to suck
i blame the mic
it was too muddied for distortion, so i ran it clean, hence the need for compression
for the more note played one i put in some mids and that was that really
your drums were great cause they were so clean, that inspired me to do keyboard drums on "killer", and "acoustiprov" on the whole... improv thing, obvioulsy lmao

anywho, i shall go check the album out now

dear mate pat, or as i'd like to say for constant's sake

my good pal patrick

i have been the only one really out of all of my friends to be able to comprehend really what a musically conceptional album was all about

the ramones first cd, for example
very raw, stripped down punk rock
but all of the songs were the same

not so much lyrically, but the music fit

i love albums like this

i am saddened to say that i lost the multi's to our second song, but i believe the mix was well anyway

the only thing you may want to alter for your personal listening is the volume really

when i am able to send my music, as i am waiting for the release of my cd, i will send all of my studio mixes, with vocals intact, etc. and then send the multis so you can hear them raw... bloody awful and all lmao

if it is okay i was going to include our two songs for my demos disc

from what i hear i will be going to record really soon i hope, and as well in a studio in some guy's house really local to here

two cd's from you should be interesting to listen to

and i have always enjoyed your vocals/ lyrics
so i cannot wait to listen to this

of course when i get my cd made i will alert you right away

the demos cd will be alternate unused mixes from the studio takes, as well as all of the stuff i produced at home, and not to forget anything i had ever recorded with any of my bands and friends

i find your winter picture an interesting contrast to the brining of summer

no matter how hot it may get outside, there is always the hint of breeze in that picture of yours lol

anywho, i cannot wait to hear some new music from you - matt
