TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING THROUGH THE DESERT.
DURING SOME POINT OF THE JOURNEY, THEY HAD AN
ARGUMENT; AND ONE FRIEND SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE
IN THE FACE
THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED WAS HURT, BUT WITHOUT
SAYING ANYTHING, WROTE IN THE SAND
"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE"
THEY KEPT ON WALKING, UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,
WHERE THEY DECIDED TO TAKE A BATH
THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE
MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING, BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.
AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM THE NEAR DROWNING,
HE WROTE ON A STONE:
"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE"
THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND
ASKED HIM, 'AFTER I HURT YOU, YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,
YOU WRITE ON A STONE, WHY?'
THE FRIEND REPLIED, WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US
WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN IN SAND, WHERE WINDS OF
FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.
BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING GOOD FOR US,
WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE WHERE NO WIND
CAN EVER ERASE IT'
LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN
THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.
THEY SAY IT TAKES A MINUTE TO FIND A SPECIAL
PERSON, AN HOUR TO APPRECIATE THEM
A DAY TO LOVE THEM, BUT THEN
AN ENTIRE LIFE TO FORGET THEM.
SEND THIS TO THE PEOPLE YOU'LL NEVER FORGET.
I JUST DID.
TAKE THE TIME TO LIVE!
DO NOT VALUE THE THINGS YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFE,
BUT VALUE WHO YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFE!
OVER THE RAINBOW

hey there. :D
first off, i love your site. it's truly amazing. (:
second! i don't know if you'd be up for it, but,
i'm sure you've heard of to write love on her arms?
well, on twitter, hugh jackman is having a contest and he's going to donate 100,000 dollars to someone's non-profit organization.
if we get enough people to tell him about twloha, he might donate to them, and that would be amazing. (:
if you could just post a bulletin or put it on your page,
for everyone who has an account on twitter,
to post a reply @realhughjackman
about twloha. (:
something along the lines of:
"@RealHughJackman @TWLOHA presents hope & finds help for people struggling w/ depression/addiction/self-injury/suicide. Every story matters."
thank you so much!
xoxo

The Jason Foundation needs volunteers to participate in Jason's Walk, an event to raise awareness about youth suicide, on May 2.
168 volunteers are needed to gather at Hendersonville High School Football Stadium (located on Indian Lake Road in Hendersonville) at 10 AM and walk 12 laps (three miles) around its running track. Bobby Johnson, head football coach at Vanderbilt, will be among those walking.

This is a great page to have....no one wants to talk about this issue and the fact that it is still taboo is silly. My dad took this route as did a few friends and it wasnt necessary.....thank you for being of service!

Borderline Personality …
Nov 18, 2008 3:44 AM
Do you have someone in your life with a history of stormy relationships, unexpected mood swings, fears of you leaving them, sometimes intense anger, impulsivity, unstable self-image?
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is actually about two to three times more prevalent than bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, yet many people have never heard of it.
Roughly 17 million Americans -- 75% of which are women – or 6% of the general population, suffer with BPD. Few know they even have it. Most family members are just hurt and confused by it.

Thanks for the request! My father in law committed suicide 4 1/2 years ago. We are participating in our first Out of the Darkness Walk this Saturday in his memory. It is in Louisville, KY! We have raised over $600 to turn in; in only 3 wks. People are really supportive to our team. God Bless you and Keep You doing all your work.

Thanks so much for the add. I really believe in what you are doing. I personally have anxiety disorder, but my best friend will be spending over a year in a mental health facility because she attempted suicide twice, at the ages of 13 and 14. When she comes home, she'd have spent 2 different birthdays in rehab. I don't ever want someone to go through what Brooke or I did. Thank you so much for working to end mental health problems. You really are making a difference.
