But the undeniable fact is that life begins at creation, and a human is created as soon as he or she is conceived. God is present at our creation; He is, in fact, our Creator. Our value as human beings created in His image is conceived even before we are. God reveals to us in His Word that not only does life begin at conception, but He knows who we are even before then (Jeremiah 1:5). King David said this about God's role in our conception: "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb . . . your eyes saw my unformed body. GOD IS MERCIFUL!	Nov 4, 2009 4:46 AM I WILL PRAISE YOU, O LORD. Psalm 9:1 Praise should always follow answered prayer; as the mist of earth's gratitude rises when the sun of heaven's love warms the ground. Hath the Lord been gracious to you, and inclined His ear to the voice of your supplications? Then praise Him as long as live. Let the ripe fruit drop upon the fertile soil from which it drew its life. Deny not a song to Him who hath answered your prayer and given you the desire of your heart. To be silent over God's mercies is to incur the guilt of ingratitude; it is to act as basely as the nine leper, who after they had been cured of their leprosy, returned not to give thanks unto the healing Lord. To forget to praise God is to refuse to benefit ourselves; for praise, like prayer, is one great means of promoting the growth of the spiritual life. It helps to remove our burdens, to excite our hope, to increase our faith. It is a healthful and invigorating exercise which quickens the pulse of the believer, and nerves him for fresh enterprises in his Master's service. To bless God for mercies received is also the way to benefit our fellow - men; the humble shall hear thereof and be glad. Others who have been in like circumstances shall take comfort if we can say, Oh! Magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together; this poor man cried, and the Lord heard him. Weak hearts will be strengthened, and drooping saints will be revived as they listen to our songs of deliverance. Their doubts and fears will be rebuked, as we teach and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. They too shall sing in the ways of the Lord, when they hear us magnify His holy name. Praise i the most heavenly of Christian duties. The angels pray not, but they cease not to praise both day and night; and the redeemed, clothed in white robes, with palm-branches in their hands, are never weary of singing the new song; Worthy is the Lamb. Yet we have the words of Jesus in John 17:15, “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.” God has willed that his children should live in the world and yet be preserved from destruction by the world. He puts us in dangerous places (like Babylon) and then displays his power on our behalf. God is the One who gave Israel over to Babylon. He uses the world to knock out all of our props so that we will turn back to him. Peace, Brigitte ♥ †

You may be persisted, and grumbling all the way, I agreed to play the God Sighting game. It’s very simple to do. You just look around and see where you can find God’s fingerprints in your life. So reluctantly I started to see where God would show up. And very soon I started to see him in small things. A phone call from a family member; The sun shining. A nice email. A daughter who dropped by. A note from one of my girls with good news. A hymn that brought me joy. Do you know what I found? I discovered that if we paid attention, we started seeing God in many places. Sometimes it was just a small little thing God would do, just something that caused us to say, “That was the Lord who did that for us.” We learned that if you keep your eyes open for God, pretty soon you’ll see him everywhere. One of our problems is that we focus on the spectacular answers to prayer. God says, “That’s not always where you’re going to see me. Look for my fingerprints in the small things and listen for the whisper of my voice.” I found myself praying, “Lord, open the eyes of my heart that I might see you everywhere.” And you know what? Other men have not your God to fly to; they never proved His faithfulness as you have done, and it is no wonder if they are bowed down with alarm and cowed with fear: but you profess to be of another spirit; you have been begotten again unto a lively hope, and your heart lives in heaven and not on earthly things; now, if you are seen to be distracted as other men, what is the value of that grace which you profess to have received? Where is the dignity of that new nature which you claim to possess? Moreover, unconverted men often run to wrong means in order to escape from difficulties, and you will be sure to do the same if your mind yields to the present pressure. Trust in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him. Your wisest course is to do as Moses did at the Red Sea, Stand still and see the salvation of God. If you give way to fear when you hear of evil tidings, you will be unable to meet the trouble with that calm composure which nerves for duty, and sustains under adversity. How can you glorify God if you play the coward? Saints have often sung God's high praises in the fires, but will your doubting and desponding, as if you had none to help you, magnify the Most High? Then take courage, and relying insure confidence upon the faithfulness of your covenant God, let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid. God bless you.
