Depending on how many people come out, we may break out some of the Wild Dog beers. We have 3 of them cellared. The Gonzo, the Double Pale, and the Weizenbock. Less than 20 people, than I'll find the Wild Dog Barlywine and Tripel to do another tasting in the fall, instead.

I've been searching for the Wild Dog beers!!

I have found the Saison and the Weizenbock, but REALLY want to get my hands on the Barrell Aged Horn Dog, Double Dog, and Gonzo.

Anybody that can help me?

This brew is part of Flying Dogs Canis Series, which features this brew a Tripel known as Kerberos, Gonzo Imperial Porter, and Horn Dog Barley Wine Style Ale. I had this brew once before with TheFullPint's Mike in Buellton, and found it to be quite unique and enjoyable. I enjoy Flying Dog's more bold and strong offerings to their sessionable ones.

Flying Dog Double Dog Pale Ale - 12oz bottle poured into my Stone IRS glass - 10.5% abv.


Appearance: Light brown with a 1/4 inch white stripe of a head.

You guys make some seriously good beer! Living so close to the brewery is a bit dangerous, though.
Even though I keep a fully stocked fridge, it's very tempting to go by late one night and liberate some ale right from the source!
