Added to the want-list! It looks / reviews sound incredible!

While not Quebecois, I found a copy of Emmanuelle Parrenin's Maison Rose in a collection two years ago. I asked the guy where he got it (since it's domestic France record), he said: "I fell in love with a girl from Montreal who had terrible taste in music!"

I want to learn French because on top of Gainsbourg, I am down with the Quebecois soft-rock, psych and disco scene of the late-70s: Charlebois, Contraction, Medium, Dogs of War, Gino Soccio, Eau Du Source, etc. Some weird Quebec records have turned up in Edmonton dollar bins and thrift shops ;)

When I was 10 years old my french teacher hit me and as such I was taken out of french classes and I never learned. I did my undergraduate degree in Engineering, which had no language requirement. The biggest regret of my life was not taking a French class while doing my masters :(

I even dated a girl once with the hopes that she would teach me french.

As such I got a call from a good friend of mine yesterday: "Hey Aaron - do you even know what Les Douches Romaines means?"

Congrats on the Weird Canada review; that site is great. I'm in
Montreal,  and I'd love to hear the album. I can burn you some of my
favourite Chinese bands if you want. White, in our top friends, are
really fantastic.



Do you play in any other projects? I'm glad Alex shared our album.
Though we've come a long way since it was recorded, and we're excited
to unleash the new Hot & Cold on Montreal!

So far Skyscrape My Shapes (that's why I wanted this tape!) and I think Jets Of Blood (crazy violent track!). But really, I like the whole tape. Pradada has some good tracks too. I think I liked Old Bones (it has some spoken word stuff on it). And the whole first side I liked. I have to listen to them more though.

Check ce lien là ils parlent de wasted widow, ça semble positif mec. J'ai hâte de sortir l'autre album, en passant j'ai mixé Adios Bitches et la toune d'ouverture, mais Hospital memorium (exit) devra être mixer chez toi avec nos deux ordi.
