Yo yo... I sent this to Brian Gerrard's Facebook after I saw him earlier in the summer. I'm sure he never got it though, since my friend request to him is 'still pending.' Man, that makes me feel like a loser. :) ANYWAY, I remembered it just now after giving a critique to another band, so I've found the message that I sent to Brian on July 28, and I will post it here. Please make sure he gets it.

yo Brian! Thanks for dropping off the CD for me in DC. I put together some thoughts for you:

My Lady: I love the punk rock 'oi oi'-style chants. Sounds like the best parts of my friend's band when he was in high school (and I was in college), Go Ahead. Drummer is insane with the high hat, he has a lot of skill. I love the harmonics you pull around 2:15. I do that a lot. Good metaphors with the subject of My Lady. The gang vocals at the end are my favorite part. I wish I could hear the low and and bass more. The double-kick on the drums cuts through real nice, I wish the bass would too. Drummer's fills at the end are nauseatingly rocking. Guitar solo with all the hammer-ons and pull-offs at the end is great. Reminds me of the old school punk from the early 80's and even some from punk's resurgence in the 90's.

Frozen Lights has some sick guitar parts. The vocals may be out of range for your singer, but I like that he keeps up with it anyway. The background vocals are wild and haunting, and are probably my favorite part of the track.

A Color Green Instrumental reminds me of some of the best early Incubus jams (and maybe even their song A Certain Shade of Green). The unplugging of the guitar is fucking brilliant. As if the song weren't rocking enough, it just gets ten times crazier once you do that. The wah-wah solo is nice and sloppy, just the way it should be for this track. Once again, you hit those harmonics on all strings toward the end, and I fucking lose my shit when I hear that. Sounds fantastic.
