REALLY looking forward to seeing the movie!! I've been a friend of the site for a long time and I'm so happy that the film is close to release and that Mott is doing a reunion with all the OG members! Just incredible.

Will the movie play in Los Angeles at all? I'm also hoping, though not holding my breath, that Mott will do a small tour and come to LA. I know it's probably a long shot but I'm really hoping. I can't really fly to London.

With an afternoon chat with friend Kelv in Hereford Verden remembers Jim, pre-fame bands The Cheeks, The Hawks and Colt.


Also kindly dusted off his scrapbook and scanned in lots of photos etc which are also included. Mentions Mott the Hoople last summer when this was recorded! Speculating of a possible Mott the Hoople reunion then.. Well those concerts dates have recently been organised and released.


I have also been lucky to be able to include now with this very recent last minute update, more kindly donated material recieved just the other day,being some very rare photo's taken at the one and only hometown original Pretenders gig held at Herefords Technical College Midlands Hereford Uk in approx 1978-79

(Does anyone know the exact date of that gig?)

Thanks for the friendship. I saw Mott on many occasions, several times at the legendary Friars Club in Aylesbury. Thinking about it now, I saw them there as the original five piece, again just after Phally left as a four piece, Ian Hunter solo there and also the new Mott with Nigel Benjamin.
