im getting to be as bad with runners as i am with slingbacks, wedges, stilettos, ankle boots, knee highs, pumps, sneakers, sandals... . oh dear!

ive got four pairs on the go at the moment: mizuno wave riders (my faves; nice and light and flexible, feel fast, but with enough cushioning to support my slightly odd gait. i have high arches and supinate a bit, but not TOO badly and i run up on my toes even over quite long distances, so im fairly biomechanically efficient!! so some decent neutral/cushioned runners are fine for me); nike air pegasus (used to always run in them when i was a teenager, still one of the best neutral cushioned styles available imho ), puma eutopia (these are really nice and light and feel fast, but ive not done that many miles in them and theyre already showing signs of abuse, so i dont think id buy em again), and asics gel foundation (for the treadmill at the gym, a little clunkier and stiffer feeling than i usually like, but deceptively light and breathable still, and CHEAP-ish). 

have you thought about having your gait analysed? 

of course, im a bit of a hippy who thinks wed all be better off running barefoot, but the streets round here are generally littered with broken beer bottle shards and streaked with dog piss, so i save that for summer when i can get to the park and run on the very back field where not so many dog walkers venture out to...
