I'm just dropping by to say hi...no ulterior motive whatever. I'm not going to ask if you found out anything about that secret recipe because, as you know, I don't roll that way. I'm a straight up kind of gal, with no interest in anything the Colonel might have to divulge...or the remotest preoccupation with poultry...or even gravy...just saying is all.

Hey Friends, it's me, Flowmotion & the Summer Meltdown Festival.

Just wanted to remind everyone, the festival is coming up in about three weeks or so and tickets are about to go up in price on July 23rd. Now is the time to get your tickets. 30+ bands on three stages, camping on 40 acres next to the river and epic views of glacier capped Whitehorse Mountain from the stage. It's about 75 minutes north of Seattle in Darrington WA. This is going to be one of the best years yet, so please tell all your friends and spread the word about the tickets going up next week. Visit the official site by clicking on the graphic below to get all the details.

I really enjoy your show on Sundays. You choose some really interesting and, most importantly, different music. I appreciate not hearing the same 5 songs played over and over and over... Plus I will admit, your voice is sexy too.

"Sounds like wind blowing in a wheatfield, train rolling down the line, rain coming down on a old tin shed, steel, wire and a rusty heart. Boots of leather and dust and ash. Mollasess and coal and stone. Wedding rings and buried bones of love broken and burnt. Tales and the footprints, ravenswings and souls are earnt"

Hi, Drew: Thanks so much for airing "Nothing in Texas" awhile back!! Mucho appreciated... you might be interested in a Seattle/UK collaboration which Eva Tree & I participated in recently ~ check out Gavin Sutherland's "Intergalactic Well Project" on his www.myspace.com/gavsutherland page... a bit of digitalalchemymyspacegoodvibeswizardry to be sure... Hope you are well... I haven't forgotten about that radio panel idea either.

Flying in from sunny Somerset (moved beyond soggy for a spell) to say hello and reiterate many thanks for your part in getting me out of ye olde abode. Now if I can just secure a new abode which is far more challenging than is good for uniform hair colour, I shall be singing the song of the securely housed... (Hmmmmm and eh? would be appropriate comments....)
Wishing you and yours exceedingly well with many a reason to smile broadly...

Transcribed direct from the pages of ‘Skate World’ a short interview with roller skating sensation Drew Dundon:

SW: Drew, first let me say- it’s an absolute honor to be sitting here with the man who’s quickly become known as the Lance Armstrong/David Beckham/Tiger Woods of the roller skating circuit. We couldn’t believe our luck when we found out you’d agreed to grant us an exclusive.
What I think people want to know is who IS Drew Dundon? Suddenly out of nowhere there appears, taking rinks everywhere by storm, what can only be termed ‘a roller skating messiah’…

DD: Yes, well I want people to understand that though I am an extraordinary skating talent, I’m really just a regular guy. I spend my off hours crammed into a toy bucket or extracting young girls from tumble dryers just like everybody else.

SW: It’s rumored you’ll soon be publishing a memoir, which the New York Times hails as “Dundon’s breakout debut! A literary tour de force that will leave skating enthusiasts everywhere breathless and begging for more!” What can your fans, who are legion, expect?

DD: Yes, I’ve secured a lucrative publishing deal and the book will be out early next year. It’s entitled “Arms, Take ‘Em Or Leave ‘Em” and it’s my own personal, very touching and poignant account of my arduous journey from novice to champion in one afternoon at the Everett Skate Deck.

SW: And what of the bitter rivalry between you and one time skating prodigy Earl Schneider AKA ‘The Toast Of ‘75’, who has accused you of plagiarizing his signature deliberate and sustained elevated knee maneuver?

DD: I’m going to decline to comment on this except to say that Earl is what we skating aficionados refer to as an RSHB (‘roller skating has been’ for those of you unfamiliar with the lingo) who obviously perceives me as a threat (and let’s face it, who wouldn’t?) to his crumbling skating empire.

SW: Thank you Dundon (may I call you Dundon?). This has been a dream come true for this devotee.

"Brilliant" - John Richards, John in the Morning, KEXP 90.3 FM Seattle

"9 stars out of 10! Kanzler writes beautifully understated tunes that straddle almost every genre of American roots music. His vocals compliment the songs beautifully, sounding like a cross between a more grizzled Ryan Adams and Johnny Hickman. "Black Top Road" is an essential album...a classic from the Alaskan wilderness." - Dan Wilkinson, AmericanaUK
