We aim to showcase the diversity of visual works that capture, create, document, and give voice to various forms of hip hop culture. Categories include narrative feature, narrative short, documentary feature, documentary short, and music video. Prizes will be awarded in all categories. Special programs include Hip Hop Chicago, which focuses on the work of Chicagoland filmmakers, and International Perspectives, which features visual hip-hop projects from various parts of the world. We are especially interested in featuring the work of up and coming filmmakers. The two day-event will bring together hip hop filmmakers and musicians to celebrate the culture's contributions to the visual medium. Panels discussions, and networking sessions will also take place.
