Satan will never give up; he came to kill steal and destroy! God's showing me how insane my flesh really is!! It will really desire to have me listening to, saying things, and doing things that quite CLEARLY end in death! Death of my faith, death of my joy, death of my zeal for God! What God really showed me this week----and this, for me, is HUGE...I believe that my walk will never be the same after God spoke this into my heart-----is that all temptations and struggles really come down to one questions, "Who are you going to serve?" We cannot serve both. Believe me, flesh, idol, satan (I speak as a man), I really would love to serve you, but I cannot live without God and he says that I can only serve one master... so I guess that means' you (flesh, idol, Satan) are out! ..
So I've always known that I did not have a choice to be in the kingdom. But what God showed me this week is that I have a choice...... but the choice is limited to two options, and the options are life or death. Either you serve me or you serve death. You cannot have me (LIFE) and still have an idol. So God keeps me real tight, because he has made is so that without Him, I really cannot live. It wasn't always like that. So thus, God has given me the key to eliminating the struggle. Because in every temptation, in every fit of my flesh, no matter how much I dramatize it, it always comes down to this one question...this one choice... "who are you going to serve? i have only given you two choices, and they are life (though it may be wrapped in struggle or death of the flesh) or death (though it may be wrapped as a fruit to be desired, pleasing to the eye). so choose ye this day who you will serve."
