Haha Jon thanks for the add :) Really weird thing: about 3 years ago I met somebody in the town centre, busking with a guitar made by you. Top bloke and guitarist he was. I checked out Black guitars then and sort of dribbled on my keyboard a bit so its kind of bizarre you have popped up again through seemingly unrelated circumstances. My keyboard is whetted once again!

Aww, nevermind the aluminium, a good old-fashioned archtop is what I want :D

As for London, hopefully we will see you there some day - we played 5 gigs there last December, hope to be back, as we still owe Mr. Raven a radio show on BFBS...;)

Cheers!

Hi,
I've taken the old lady out (the ESGE up there) on her second gig two days ago. It's a mass murderer, this guitar is. Sounds like nothing I've ever heard, it's the best guitar I've laid my hands on, by far. And every time I'm taking it out of its case, everybody goes "...". Thank you again Jon, you're the best and I mean it! I'll play this guitar and nothing else on our next LP (we're recording the guitars next weekend, can't wait!)!!!

Jul 9, 2007 7:41 PM

Hey!
It's my guitar up here, the ESGE! Cool!
I've just got it today, and you know, it looks even better in real life. The faded gold headstock and the cool retro-looking vibrato are a lot better than on photos... Thank you Jon for rebuilding this guitar for me, you've done great, man!
And you people who're reading this, you have to know that Jon is also a very nice, patient guy, who really takes time to talk to you. He loves what he's doing, and the restoration work is absolutely amazing.
It was a great experience doing this, I'll recommend it to anyone. It takes a few months but it's very exciting!
Now, I'll be playing the ESGE on our new album, and Jon, I'll send you a copy!
Cheers, mate!

Hey Jon,
Thanks!!
Well, I used it in the video, but it is when we're preaching in the TV, so it's nearly invisible!!! But I played with it in an other video (the "Rising from the Dead " video)which is not totally finished... Unfortunately, after seeing the first rushes, it seems that video won't be as cool as this one! I'll tell you when it is ready!
