There was cheating? :o I wholeheartedly concur about beer and women though, I enjoy both of them. I think I am dying of that swine flu. Sadly I will not be at the Red Well gig this time round. :( And I usually love gorgeously sweaty-ceilinged venues like the Captain's Rest. x

In Norway I went down a proper ski run on a toboggan bought from a petrol station, went a bit too fast, came off and the toboggan ran over my hand with me half on it. The blood in the snow was very dramatic, a bit like the ending of House of Flying Daggers. I think the ice numbed it a bit.

Ironically in my years at the Odeon slaving over hot dog grills I never fell on them once.

I read the latest rave reviews. I like the part in the Is This Music? one that describes you as having a "raw but effective tool". What a compliment! :D

My hand got mangled in an alpine incident, I hope I don't need skin grafts. I can see my own bone, and don't know why I find it so funny... I should probably go to hospital.

Hallo sailor(s)!
Thank you Red Well for being jolly nice lads.

My tummy hurts with norovirus and the internet has made me sad. In my delirium I posted a livejournal entry about why I always wanted to be The Fat Controller in Thomas the Tank Engine. Your lovely comments are appreciated as they aid my recovery.

VERSUS: three of Edinburgh’s finest noise-hungry racketeers are set to mash up and pound out a shrill of lug-piercing sonics at the Wee Red. Using a format that’s never before graced an Auld Reekie stage, the Bear Scotland triumvirate of The Foundling Wheel, Dead Boy Robotics and Enfant Bastard will set up concurrently and duel track to track, concocting scintillating aural juxtapositions that ignite the synapses with waves of neuron-transcending clatter.

The Foundling Wheel: builds noise-saturated, melody-laced mountains of programmed polyrhythms and bit-crushed distortion.

"A one man wail of screeching banshee sonics" – The Skinny
www. myspace. com/thefoundlingwheel

DeadBoyRobotics: spits out call-and-response broken-beat synth-punk at splintering decibles.

" their oh-so-ironic yelping and synth-prodding wankery is head-splitting " – The Skinny
www. myspace. com/deadboyrobotics

Enfant Bastard: circuit-bending drum-machine-addled anti-folk that can rarely be arsed to finish what it started.

“tape crackle hisses away in the background, instruments slop about all over the place, and everyone sounds wasted” – The Skinny

Thank you for a lovely gig, sorry I didn't sit in the middle with that lonely man, if I had it would have looked less like a school dance. I hope your arrest wasn't too traumatic, if you like we could organise a Save Jim drive and collect donations to pay your fine? We could always lie a bit and say it's to buy you a prosthetic foot or something...we could get all the local scouts involved! x

Yeah okay, I'll pay.
