Dal 1987 sono ospiti di tutti i più importanti festival di musica e di cinema sperimentale, rassegne d’arte contemporanea; numerose le collaborazioni con gruppi provenienti da diverse parti del mondo. Attraverso la magia degli specchi, le multiproiezioni e una dislocazione ingegnosa durante le esibizioni dal vivo, i Metamkine in ogni performance producono e dirigono un nuovo film, riversando spirali di disegni e foto improvvisate, accompagnate dal vivo da una traccia audio di frammenti di nastro e suoni di antichi sintetizzatori. Le loro performances hanno un forte impatto viscerale, i loro materiali sono le pellicole ed il suono, il musicista e i cineasti sono sulla scena di fronte al pubblico e attraverso due specchi installati nella sala riflettono le immagini su uno schermo posizionato dietro di loro.
