Ten tracks of unadulterated Glampunk Electro madness! It’s unleashed on Thursday 29th of October at Bar Open on Brunswick St. It’s Bowie on steroids; it’s Marquis de Sade and Andy Warhol screaming at the moon through a home-made vocoder. The Lollyshop is open for business ! It’s going to be a huge night filled with bubble machines, strobes, psychedelic video projections and cautionary tales to tell your grandchildren. It will also feature live performances from those vixens of burlesque “the Venus Man Traps”. Support on the night comes from psych-popsters Go-Go Sapien serving up synth-infected garage with lashings of ravenous big sexy guitars. Make sure you get down early to catch the debut performance by newcomers Tusk. And most importantly we have kept the entry fee down to a very affordable – FREE ! Copies of Vultures of Venus’s LP can be scoped up for a low $10 on the night. Yee-Har space cadets !

That night they dedicated their set at the East Brunswick Club to the band for their loss. The show was committed to film by the prople at Two Tap TV and is now being released on DVD. There will be a public screening of the film TOMORROW NIGHT (12/6/08): Red Carpet Night Presents: Hotel Wrecking City Traders - Live At The EBC Thursday, June 12 - Kent St Bar (201 Smith St, Collingwood) $2 Mountain Goat Pots from 7 pm Movie kicks off at 8 pm Copies of the film will be available for purchase on the night.
