Hello Martin, how's it all going?  I miss our little chats from last year!

I saw an interview with you in NME fairly recently, which reminded me of you.  Congratulations on becoming a father! The last time we spoke it was imminent.....

You know, I still listen to Giant Steps on a regular basis!  I think, especially what with the 80s being inexplicably 'cool' again - amongst people too young to remember how awful they actually were, I notice - that it sometimes gets overlooked just how good this record was.  Maybe when the 90s revival starts in a few years, it'll get the recognition it finally deserves.

I tried to buy C'mon Kids when it first came out from Probe records (where I usually got most of my Vynal or CDs). I couldn't see it anywhere and had to ask at the counter. They told me "that pop chart CDs could be purchased from more mainstream outlets such as HMV or Virgin". Hindsight suggests numerous funny or cutting replies, instead I was mortally crushed and stumbled out of the shop to console myself with a number of cheap beers in Slaters.
Great album, though pretty strange for a 'pop' album... "Everything is Sorrow" what a belting tune. Ta.
