This month we mostly have Catie Curtis (with a Richard Thompson cover), Lindsay Fuller and The Cheap Dates (and who amongst us isn't?), Josh Fix with a track from the well-titled album This Town Is Starting To Make Me Angry and the rather lovely Red Rooster.

I hope you're planning a CD release party up north. Your Minnesotan fans miss you and appreciate the new songs- especially Minnesota. Although I'd be willing to bet that folks from Wisconsin are wondering when their turn will come. Bring your band- you've got a place to stay.

Today is the 26th anniversary of the untimely death of Karen Carpenter. Today's media obsession with the weight of Jessica Simpson and others reminds me of the hounding about weight that Karen was subjected to. Unfortunately this played right into her health problems. In any case. I think it's a shame (maybe more) that the Carpenters are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If anyone wants to help, they can sign a petition at www. gocarpenters. com.
