Hi all! We have some news for our beloved fans! Like the most of you already know, we went trough some line-up changes in the past months. Those changes brought The Wax Buckets to a new level of sound and we want to share with you that new vibe. We recorded some live tracks lately and uploaded them on our myspace page. You can now hear new versions of "Sex", "Drunk & Out" and "Pick It Up!". Also, we have a surprise for you! A brand new track! So check it out! Your feet will probably start stomping before you even know what happens when you'll hear "Highjacking the Scene". 

Salut à tous! Nous avons de bonnes nouvelles pour nos chers fans! Comme la plupart d'entre vous le savez déjà, nous avons vécu quelques changements au niveau de nos membre pendant les derniers mois. Ces changements ont amené The Wax Buckets à un nouveau niveau de son et nous voulons partager avec vous cette nouvelle "vibe". Dernièrement, nous avons enregistré quelques tracks live et les avons mises sur notre page myspace. Vous pouvez maintenant y entendre de nouvelles versions de "Sex", "Drunk & Out" et "Pick It Up!". Aussi, nous avons une surprise pour vous! Une nouvelle track! Alors allez jetter un coup d'oeil! Vos pieds commenceront probablement à danser avant même que vous sachiez ce qui se passe quand vous entendrez "Highjacking the Scene".

i was changing the posters at the hotel and this dude walks by and stops to talk. he asks when meadowlark lemon is coming and i told him unfortunately he missed you guys. he continues to tell me that he met you about 7 or 8 years ago around 96/97.
he was very happy to learn you are christian and it was really nice of you guys to sign his bible.
his name was wolf and he had a cockatiel on his shoulder. he says hi.

(96.7 iROCK Summer Showdown Battle of the Bands 2009)

“The WeakEND”

It was a great night for all of those who showed up to support the local music scene and iRock.

It has been so long since being out or being a part of an event that it was shocking for me to see how so many people could really care less nowadays. It is pretty apparent this will NOT be our last show played in the Bloomington-Normal area come July 25th. I mean, why should we take the time to care about a scene that doesn’t care about itself, a scene that use to pride it-self on many things, that of which it is.

Maybe there is a time for all bands to ask, is it time to move on from those who it thought once cared?

I’m greatly disappointed and upset right now in not only many of whom I believe to be close friends, but in those who lead me to believe they actually cared about local music.

Times change and it is clear they have done so as I’m the one speaking out now.

If by the way it takes only one person to say something I guess that person will be me as it really has been this way my entire life now that the picture draws clearer. So if this entry turns a head or makes a dime so be it, you can have it, I’ve moved on a long time ago, and evidently so have you.

So maybe we’ll see you out at the shows, I will count on it. Support your scene to The End.

yoyoyo, thank you for the kind words! i heard meadowlark lemon blew the roof off that shit at the townehouse ( i was sleepin in the van :( ) --> but the other dudes said it ruled hard. i have to wait til thursday to get my teeth pulled BUT the dentist hooked me up with some sweet painkillers til then and some shit to clear up the crazy infection that i apparently have, so itll be gravy and we'll see you next week!!
