I thought the movie was phenomenal and one of the best movies of 2008.

Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was simply amazing, as was the rest of the cast.

R.I.P. Heath Ledger. He will be missed. =(

I cannot wait to see more Batman movies in the future.

If I may make a suggestion, if you guys ever decide to actually use the Riddler, look into Daniel Day-Lewis! Heck, he'd make a good Joker too!

yeah.... i too noticed that The Dark Knight got cheated out of every possible nomination category other than "Best Supporting Actor". even worst, i kind of feel they are only giving Ledger a nod because they know that if they didnt, everyone would shake their heads in shame and disgust, and probably protest. the whole thing is retarded. The Dark Knight rakes in more money than any other film [save Titanic], beats all kinds of movie records, and it doesnt get nominated for crap... WHY? really makes me wonder who's in charge of the Oscars and what the hell it is they think they're doing.

mad as hell that dark knight didnt get nominated. all the tstupid movies that were nominated never did anywhere as good as dark knight and no one acted believable for the parts. at least our buddy heath got nominated lets hope he wins he deserves it. want to see his little girl and ex wife accept it for him.

I was disappointed that The Dark Knight wasn't nominated for more awards. It certainly deserved to be. Namely, best picture and best director. But...at least Ledger's going to be honored. I'm confident he'll win the 'supporting actor' category for his turn as The Joker.

i have always been a devout fan of Batman, reading detective comics at the age of 6. I was floored by this movie. It completely endowed me with an amazing perspective of batman and the joker. The movie was, to understate, amazing. Christopher Nolan stated that there's no way in Hell that he's going to have Robin in a sequel(paraphrasing), but i have a solution. A Robin needs to exist. Who's to aid Batman when he's got a sick day or comes of age? who's gonna take the mantle when the city still needs someone bigger than the cops? Christopher Nolan's afraid that Robin will be too much like the acrobat-sidekick from Batman & Robin, but why can't he just give a more surreal version of Robin like he did with the Joker???? He can go for the more serious Jason Todd Robin, instead of Timothy Drake. Or he could highlight that Timothy Drake is a kid and bring about Jason Todd to to show that he's looking for somebody to one day take up his mantle. Dick Grayson did exactly that.
