I don't believe that at all. our morals are just based on social standards which change from culture to culture. People realize that if they go around killing people it wont be long before something bad happens to them. Even thousands of years ago. They realized that if they killed someone that persons family or friends would probably come after them. People also found out the most benifisial ways to live in a somewhat stable peaceful society. Its just tradition and survival instinct. Where did I get my morals from? by my envirnment. by my own life experiance. the same way anyone got their morals from. people realized that there were certain things that just did not help society so they incorperated them into these religions. There is always a chance that you can break a law and escape worldly authority but if there is an all present all powerful all knowing being who will judge you after you die, you can't escape that. Which is why the authors of the Bible and other religions came up with the 10 commandments and what not. So people would be discouraged or feel guilty for breaking laws even when they don't get caught.

I support gay marriage because I don't believe it is a choice. I didn't choose to be straight and why would someone choose to be gay when they will be laughed at and ridiculed their whole lives? The way I see it is that no one chooses what time or place they were born or what class or family they were born into. No one chose that. So I support gay marriage because I don't believe that it is right for one human, who did not choose, to infringe on the rights of another just because they are a minority. Yes, there is evolution but I think that in a certain way as a species we have evolved past the restrictions of natural selection. You could also make the argument based on your logic that someone who accepts evolution would be anti medication because technically we are fucking up natural selection by helping everyone survive. But personally I believe that, though we evolved through the prosess of natural selection, we are smart enough now to move beyond it. does that make sense? That same reasoning goes behind war and violence. Though we did evolve we have become smart enough to start raising the standards for ALL of our species rather than just being slaves to natural law.
