Die vier Texaner von This Will Destroy You haben sich instrumentalem
Postrock à la Mogwai verschrieben, während Kids in Glass Houses
zwar aus Wales, aber so gar nicht britisch klingen. Sie orientieren sich
eher an amerikanischen Pop-Punk Bands wie New Found Glory, mit
denen die fünf Waliser auch schon auf Tour waren.

Ein brechend volles Konzert am Nikolausabend! Der Grund dafür: eine
amerikanische Band namens ATLANTIC/PACIFIC und TIGER LOU aus
Schweden. Letztere gaben Songs von ihrem neuen Album "A Partial
Print" zum Besten und glänzten mit einer perfekten Performance. Von
den drei Gitarristen, die hinter Atlantic/Pacific stecken, hat der eine
oder andere Indie-Kenner sicherlich schon gehört. Das wären Garett
Klahn, Ex-"Texas Is The Reason", Sergie Loobkoff von "Samiam" und
John Herguth von "House & Parish". Wer braucht schon Schlagzeug
und Bass? Ihr gemeinsames Projekt "Atlantic/Pacific" ist reduziert auf
drei Gitarren, drei Stimmen und ein paar gute Songs. Da kommt
Lagerfeuerstimmung auf.
