It's been awhile - sorry there hasn't been in any Australian shows for many months but we've been busy in Europe with a bunch of touring and we're now recording our new album in Berlin (scheduled for release in March). But to make up for it, here's a big (and silly) Merry Christmas from us (and from some hippos too) : Some bold new artistic direction? Nah, Just us being silly!!! We did this track for our label's "Black Snow - the completely different Xmas compilation". (and of course, visit our youtube channel for a high quality version) Wishing you a very silly Silly Season and we'll see you back in Australia sometime in 2010! N&N

Jshwa and the Owls	Jul 22, 2009 2:09 AM audio actions, i am at home, it is wednesday and my missus and i are looking to get a gig in perth late sept coz that's what musicians who aren't josh pyke do, don't they ? hassle for shows ? as i hassle, i get to wandering: is there a melbourne scene ? is there a melbourne sound ? if language comes from the vibrations of the land does our extensive use of sound as art and communication reflect the land in this part of the aussie expanse ? or are we imitating sounds from the public culture merry-go-round - imitating tv chat and vinyl crackle ? who are the elders of our music tribe ? where is home and who reminds us of our belonging ?
