As with previous StirDigital releases, Panùm’s Mbulurata EP dishes up the bottomless bass and snappy percussion we just can’t get enough of. 3 original tracks of spaced out loopy deliciousness and 2 remixes, the first Panùm’s alternate interpretation of the title track, Mbulurata, and one from new comer Emory Emlyn of Titimi. Panùm’s Mbulurata EP starts off with Bora, giving you a bouncy hint at what’s to come with elastic basslines and a few intiricate passages of swirly synth architechtures. Mbulurata takes things into a darker and denser territory. An acidic bassline and deformed astronaut vocal come together for a rugged floor filler. Titimi cobines some of the above elements with eerie metallic textures and a knocking classic 808 pattern. Our good friend Panùm gives us another interpretation of Mbulurata by bleeping the hell out of it. The young Emory Emlyn wraps it all up with his Businessman’s Trip Remix of Titimi with a little more power than the original.
